Fair enough. Personally, Sorted resonated more with me having been to a couple of raves where some people were loved up, but most were drifting around (self included) and it not being quite what you had hoped it would be. Mis-shapes is OK, but I always got the feeling that it was paired with the superior (in my opinion) Sorted so something would get radio play when the media jumped on the drug references. Which they did.
I think Sorted is the more sharper and well observed, but that is simply my opinion. I'm just surprised it is considered lesser.
I think Mis-shapes was always going to be the lead song of the single due to its' more prominent hook. Sorted was important to the band, and went down well at Glastonbury so was possibly chosen to piggy-back onto Broken Biscuits. To be fair, they could have released Dogs Are Everywhere as a follow-up to Common People and it would have been a hit!
