When you say moving, do you just mean spend a bit more time there? Kim has a house there and spends quite a bit of her time there. She posts quite a few pictures on her foody blog of the local cafe, like this one:
He's surely not going to give up the attractions of the smoke that easily, spends half his time in Paris already, so doesn't seem averse to lots of travelling around dviding his time between various places.

Hmm, didn't realise she already lived there. All I know is a friend of a very reliable friend saw him in a pub round that way this weekend and he said he was moving there apparently!
Follow this link, it is some sort of automatic gallery, second picture in is a really lovely "family" portrait, made me really happy when I came across it. It is hard to get out of the gallery to the main site this is on, but it seems this was part of a project by a photography student at the Tate Modern.
Type "Kim Sion" into google images for lots more pics, she seems really lovely. Her food blog is fun too. If you go back over last summer you can follow her round various festival locations and so on, an Australian section, a night out in Cheltenham and so on.

I have heard this too from someone who knows Stuart Maconie (who's also buying a property in the area). Apparently loads of BBC types are buying houses there because of the Salford move. I suppose if his girlfiend spends a lot of time up there and his Mother's not too far away it would be an attraction.
