I don't mind them posting them so late. It's usually down to the venue when they get them printed anyway. It lowers the value of a ticket on ebay too when they're not in hand.

Fortunately they sent my Stone Roses tickets today.  Really didn't fancy getting that on the Saturday morning.

I live in Hungary so it would be better if they sent it in time. When I type in the tracking number it says that the tickets haven't arrived from the event organizes yet.

Mine has been dispatched today.  Well half of them. Still waiting for second pair of seats to be dispatched.

If superchob's arrived on Thursday and mine didn't arrive till Saturday lunchtime then there's obviously a lot of variability in the postal system, so hopefully that's all it is.

If they are seats they will issue duplicates.  With standing, it may be more of an issue.

Mine comes today. But I'm not in as, obviously, I work. I am working now.

It will be fun trying to track down my ticket.

"Hi, yeah, my ticket arrived today. But I wasn't in. When will I be able to get it?"
"Yeah, we deliver it for you tomorrow between 8 and 4"
"But I *work* between 8 and 4"
"Could you take some time off to sit at home and collect the ticket when it arrive?"
"What sort of time do you think it would arrive?"
"Between 8 and 4"

[Note - this conversation is imaginary and based in part on the last time I had to get tickets from these ridiculous courier services. They might as well just stick all our tickets to a bush in Hemel Hempstead and let us know when we can turn up and take which one might be ours]

Back in the UK for this but without tix. Someone posted a discount code for viagogo last year that never seemed to expire.  It was £20 off per ticket and I used it for months and went to some very cheap gigs. I don't think it was an official code as no google search finds it.  I thought it was in the Brixton thread from last year but I can't see it.  Anyone remember it?  It was something like cfv20. Someone deleted my cookies and I lost it.

Always a bit of a pain when they decide to courier tickets...especially if it is not mentioned when you actually make the booking (I don't think it was). Thankfully, there was someone in to take them in for me.

They tend to courier standing tickets as they want to be sure of delivery as they can't issue duplicates.  Seats go by standard post as they can issue a duplicate to the card holder if need be.  But it wasn't mentioned when I purchased.  The clue is often in the transaction fee.  If it is more than £5 it will be couriered.

Ah! This would explain why my seat ticket came through the normal post.

Ticket saga.

Arrived on Monday at my house. I work, so was not in. They went back to the Couriers. Who emailed me to notify of the failure. I contacted them and told them to send them to my work address. They did this Tuesday, but instead of delivering it to the 8th floor of the 15 floor building, they decided to deliver to the only floor they'd previously dealt with - the 5th. No delivery. Back to couriers (even though they had my mobile).

Informed me by email today that this had failed. I replied in a very unhappy manner and received an automated response that had a phone number. Phoned up and got angry at them (I had previously been made angry by car insurance dullard people lying at me) and was told they'd deliver it to the correct floor tomorrow. I did inform them I'm only here 'til 2:30 but they said they couldn't work around that.

Finally got a second call off them just now. The first guy taken the name down wrong "GNAC" instead of "GMAC c/o Greater Manchester Police" as specified. But now the floor is correct. And as "an act of good will" they're going to deliver it before 1.

We shall see...

I wondered why I got mine by 'normal' post - so it's because I've got seated? Oh well, at least there's one advantage to the outrage of having to sit down at a Pulp gig. Anyone going to the Pulp night at Feeling Gloomy after?

Surely no one will be sitting in the seats will they?  Only time I had a seat (Theatre Royal) everyone was up throughout.  Well except for when Menswe@r were on smile.

No, but I'll be restrainted by seats in the way and the possibility of people tutting behind me because they thought they were going to a menswe@r concert. But no more moaning from me - I'M GOING TO SEE PULP AGAIN.....WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I really hope Candida uses that room-height organ at the RAH at some stage!

I heard it used at a Prom once, just one chord at the end of a piece. The room shook.

Plenty of organs in the back-catelogue...

 This would be awesome.

By the way, I got some tickets sorted, though it required use of that evil site Viagogo sadly (though it does look the touts have bought too many tickets, ha!)

This will be my second Pulp gig (the first being in Melbourne whilst I travelled!). It will also be may first visit to the Royal Albert Hall and I think that will make this gig special in itself.

It looks I landed a job interview in London the day before too so that's worked out nicely for me.

See you all there :)

the problem is £55 and train fare could probably get me 2 concert tickets if they do do a tour - it's a bit expensive

I know, but my philosophy on tickets is you soon forget the sacrifices you had to make to buy that ticket, but you never forget the concert. But don't listen to me - I'm irresponsible!

I panic bought petrol and I don't even have a car.

Jazza, the latest it will finish will be 11.00. Usually the main band takes to the stage around 9, but don't take that as read. It may be different as it's a Teenage Cancer Trust thing.

i think they played for maybe 1 hr 45? which is pretty good, considering they are old now

except for mark

Sarah, I thought of you when I was watching mark rock out haha! he looked cute

it was the first time i've ever seen pulp when i've been completely sober, which was a bit weird! i thought it was a very different atmosphere to brixton but it's the first time i've been to the RAH so i don't know what it's usually like there

isn't roger daltry TINY!

roger daltry??? lol.

Mark is a rocker and he likes to tap along especially in the intro to Like A Friend -

any recollections of full setlist? RAH seems (and ive only ever seen it on tv ) but it seems like the stage is right in the middle and the seating is all around? weird venue?

I could barely handle it! I managed to record it on my phone but it sounds like some rocks spinning in a washing machine.

Great to hear a few different numbers... Like a Freind! Birds in the Garden! BCV!

Can't wait to see that. If they play it in San Francisco, my life will be complete!

He didn't have too much to say of note. I may have an audio recording of the show but don't know how it's turned out yet!

My Lighthouse and The Birds in Your Garden are the new additions - nice! Apparently there was a camera crew? Might get a nice DVD out of it...

This is Hardcore with live strings and beautiful torchlight intro.

(In case you were wondering, the lights come from mini torch keyrings we got given when we entered. They were shaped like guitars. Mine was a bit crap and I think I dropped it afterwards.)

They missed out Ewan McGregor, they could have dedicated Mile End to him.

Wow!

Last night was my first Pulp gig despite being a big fan since the mid-nineties. Absolutely brilliant night, personal favourites were Razzmatazz, Bar Italia and This is Hardcore.

I had standing tickets in the gallery, and got there fairly early and nabbed a position on the central balcony. Whilst it was slightly detached from the action it was a great view (especially during This is Hardcore) and got to have a good dance.

Don't think anyone's mentioned it, but after Sunrise (I think) Jarvis made a comment along the lines of wanting to take the audience out o nthe next tour..... an off the cuff comment or reference to more dates?

Only quibbles were they didn't play for as long as the last Brixton gigs, nad the night was slightly light on His n Hers tracks. But not enough to spoil an absolutely brilliant night.

Yes, I heard the tour comment and got all excited, until someone mentioned afterwards he could've been referring to the States tour next month. I hope not.
