There's some gold appearing on Facebook at the moment thanks to a couple of old Pulp associates...
Bradford 1 in 12 1986
Tim Allcard and Michael Paramore, backstage at the Leadmill, New Year's Eve 1982 (appears in black & white in my book)
A teenaged Magnus Doyle playing in (I think) a band called The Blimp which also featured Nick Taylor
Heroes of the Beach enjoy breakfast on Fargate, August 1982. L-R Nick Taylor, Jarvis, unknown (possibly Greg Thomson), Peter Dalton
The Blimp: Magnus Doyle, Nick Taylor and "Simon".
All these are from Nick Taylor (early Pulp superfan / played in Heroes of the Beach with Jarvis), with the exception of the first which is from Nick Robinson (Dig Vis Drill member).

Incredible! Between the Freaks reissue pics (the ones that have been previewed on here) and that top one, I think the pictorial evidence of Pulp#3 seems to have increased exponentially this week. That first pic is a gem! Whoever knew Russell and Nicky Wire were related?!
I find it hardest to comprehend that present day Jarvis and 95ish Jarvis are the same person. Maybe it's as simple as the beard, maybe it's also the way he seems to totally separate differents parts of himself. On the radio, he virtually never mentions any Pulp-related things, I didn't hear all of today's programme, did any mention of the NME Awards get in? Sometimes you get something tangential that at least acknowledges he was there, like the summaries of what he saw at various festivals he was at last year. You wouldn't want him being some nauseating "I'm a pop star don't you know" kind of thing, but Guy Garvey for example manages to give you anecdotes about being on tour or promoting an album or whatever he's been doing that are insightful and interesting. We know who he is, it's not some secret superhero double identity! Guy's tale about being on Later the day the jazz band deliberately wound up Jools Holland on the live show running on into Newsnight for example was hilarious.

I'm beginning to see why Fire have such difficulty maintaining quality control. I seem to mess up at least something with each of my 'releases'!
I'd remembered reading about the 'breakfast in the street' in the Gospel According to Mark (Sturdy). Hadn't remembered the bits that stated it was Heroes of the Beach rather than Pulp though...
