Bought it on VHS about eight years ago for about fifteen pounds just for the Countdown video. Since youtube's ubiquity it's available to view with one click (I think Will uploaded it actually). Today's yoof don't know they're born. And I've only turned 27 today :(
Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse et al. will testify to that alright. I have to become a rock star in the next twelve months before death even enters the equation so I should be ok.
Yes it will, I'm not doing 24 bit remasters to compress the whole result.
For the moment I've just digitized the whole tape in type I and type II modes. Sounds that it is a type II cassette actually (not quite sure), so I've got to check which one of my recordings sounds best.
Thank you. Just bought it, and hopefully a remaster of this will come soon (I still have to finish my Company Classic 3 audio tape remaster) !
My copy of the 'I Want You' demo from that cassette is just a 96kbps MP3, so an upgrade would be highly appreciated. I could upload a lossless version of the 'See You Later Agitator' cassette if you're interested, or maybe even lend you the actual tape if you are really keen to have a 24-bit digitisation of 'Nights of Suburbia'.
Thank you Will... I'll contact you when I'll have everything sorted out !
I've worked on some Pulp stuffs over the summer, but recently Pulp is no more on my top priority list (I just spent the whole day today remastering the audio of a couple of Divine Comedy live video shows, so sooner or later I should find the time to work on the Pulp stuffs). I've also get my hand on the The Radio 1FM Sessions tape that I'll digitize. (I just got to find the "Vox Class of 95" tape now).
And, I see the Countdown pictures on Pulp Wiki, have you already got the video on DVD actually ?

No problem, I'm happy to lend you the tape.
I have digitised Countdown from the Historic Debt VHS tape, but if you have access to expensive equipment you may be able to do a better job. I can share my copy if you're interested (but it might take a few days to sort out).

Well I for one would love that lossless.
Were you refering to I Want You (demo) or See You Later, Agitator?
