Monday 24th October 2011, 6:30-7:30pm, free entry. If you're going you can enter a competition to win one of the hundred limited editions copies, worth £100...
Rubbish! I've got a wedding to be in on the 27th...plus, it's a bit of a trip from the States to Sheffield to get a signed book....although if it was signed by Jarvis, it'd be worth all the money in the world to me!!
I wonder if I could pay someone that goes to either of the signings to get me a signed copy? And yes, I'm being serious.

I'm not sure what sort of *early* is required.. I shall be leaving work at 4 I think (it's about a 5 in walk away).
Having met Dominic West and Clarke Peters (from The Wire) and Steve Frost from The Comedy Show Players in the last week, it will have made it a good month for s'leb spoting in Sheffield!

It's on two floors and I would expect the signing to be on the ground floor. It's pretty full of books. They had a signing in there this saturday and the sofas were arranged in the front window in between the tills and the doors. This would mean they could funnel customers through the tills so I presume buy yer book get it signed and on yer way out the day. I suppose it's quite elegant now I've thought about it.
Thank you so much for sharing this information Pip. I have emailed Foyles to enter the competition and plan to get to Foyles a couple of hours early. Hope that's enough! Anyone else going to Foyles?
His girlfriend asked did I want my ticket signed after he signed the book and posed for a picture. I was annoyed with myself for not bringing the Angela and Further Complications vinyl sleeves. So I imagine he'll be happy to sign more than one book as long as you don't take the piss
It does say quite clearly on the Sheffield Waterstones signing page that he will be signing ONLY copies of Mother, Brother, Lover. No other merchandise will be signed.
I doubt Jarvis is as strict but if it's only a couple more copies of the book you want signed it shouldn't be a problem then.
Cool. I'll bring my sleeve of Intro which Nick and Richard Hawley have signed just in case then. I have a setlist from a Sheffield gig which would have been good to bring but that is currently at my parents house in Gateshead.
