So...which is the better Beat is the Law DVD to get first? The Pulp special, or the earlier one with the clip of Manon etc in it?

I'm keen to get one, but the price is quite prohibitive so want to make the right choice.

I can't answer your question but when I was in London recently I spotted the newer one in a shop near Forbidden Planet. This was the first I knew of it's existence, I bought there and then for something like £17 which I wouldn't normally pay for a DVD. I'm now wondering if I should get the other one and watch them in order. Or is that not necessary?

Hi, my advice would be to just buy Fanfare For the Common People. But beware it isn't really about Pulp, it's more about Sheffield in the 80's. However, the extras have lots of Pulp and it's worth it for 'The Lost Tape' and the Leadmill 91 tracks. It might seem expensive but remember it's a small independant film company. Try and buy it direct from their website.

Rough Trade were selling it for like £21 or something, mental. But then everything is always overpriced there anyway.
