Yeah, but someone from that band died. I guess that bums you out a bit to say the least.
Of course. Strangely, if Tim hadn't died, Jarvis and him could be writing or releasing the third solo album now and Pulp wouldn't have got back together.
This is true. If Jarvis does go solo again, I don't think Simon will be in the band either, so things will be quite different.
Good point Fred. I know who Tim is but it would be helpful to other forum users if people could use people's surnames when referring to a non-Pulp member for the first time in a thread. I would be interested to know who this guy is too and why he is pissed off about the FC credits.
Tim McCall was Jarvis' guitarist for the making and touring of Further Compications (he co-wrote some of the material too). Very talented guy, tragically died at the age of 37 last year. Hawley wrote quite a moving piece about him on his forum at the time of his death. Pulp members attended his funeral according to the one interview they gave this summer, apparently the band reunion idea came shortly afterwards.
Simon Stafford played keyboards for Jarvis at the same time with the odd bit of backing vocals. Previously he was the bassist with Longpigs. Don't know about him being pissed off about the credits on FC, perhaps he feels he contributed more to the writing on that album than was stated.
