I'm taking this very seriously - no crafty picking of your favourite album. If your favourite album is deemed the third best album by the vote you have failed in your ruse.
That's easy; Lets Ride Megamix, but I suppose that goes for most people (if side projects aren't allowed then The Loss Adjuster "damn those yokels, damn those yokels")
After This Hardcore and A Heavy Night With..., I voted for Further Complications.
You like the heavy stuff then? I wouldn't put relaxed muscle in my top 5 but I think Mary is one of his greatest songs.
I do like the heavier stuff indeed, better than the glam-pop of HnH and DC (not that those albums are bad). I really love the Relaxed Muscle project, because it is full with irony, sarcasm and it is a total break with Pulp. Next to that I like the dark sound of the songs, filled with all these stupid and probably cheap keyboards and samplers. Wonderful. And I love Mary as well, but it doesn't really fit that well on the album does it?

None of the albums which have been released. It would fit on a more mellower Relaxed Muscle record, but I doubt that one will ever see the day of light. I even wonder if Jarvis will ever consider to make more music under the name 'Relaxed Muscle'.
On a sidenote, I remember this conversation during the Paradiso Amsterdam gig in 2006. Jarvis: 'When was the last time I've been here?' Fan: 'Relaxed Muscle!' Jarvis: 'So you were the one who bought the album?'

Too hard! I'm not even sure of my first favourite, let alone my third. This is annoying, because unless I cast a vote, it looks like I don't get to see the results.
aah crap - fredthe3rd you are truly evil : just when, at one o'clock in the morning, I think I've come up with an answer, I reread the question and realise I haven't included solo stuff!
not really sure if it proves anything because without a poll asking the order of favorites (which I for one definetly don't have) where there would be far too many possibilities it's hard to know if people haven't chosen an album because its 1 & 2 or worse than their 3rd favorite
Well it was never really meant to prove anything... But now I'm curious.
I might set up a thread over the weekend where everyone has a month or so to give their top 10 albums then I'll happily tot up the scores where a number one vote scores 10 points second place bot scores 9 etc.
I might even turn it into a graph. I'm such a geek.
perhaps to get a more accurate idea people should rate each out of 10 and the average could be taken - or maybe im just getting ahead of myself (I almost certainly would be if i suggested some form of error bars of standard deviation or range to show dispersion)
God, I'm sorry! what have you unleashed?!

If you put them in order that's something definite, your saying this ones better than this one etc, each position is equal. Scores though, some people will give most the albums 8-9, others might give some really high and others really low scores to try and tip the balance. It's the same reason I don't watch Come Dine With Me.
From bits I've seen of it, it seems that all anyone needs to do to win is give everyone else a dirt low score. Except they don't because then you'd just be a ****.
