I need a downstairs ticket for the 1st but cannot afford the ebay etc prices. I might go down on the night and try and buy. I've done this several times and often-if you don't mind missing the support act-got a really good deal from touts unloading their tix. Anyone else doing this and fancy a drink before?-can usually negotiate a good deal for two tix.
I might have to do that too as my ebay ticket hasn't arrived. I've never bought from a tout before (hate them!), so is waiting until support is on the best way to play it? I guess it might be a risky business! Does anyone have any idea how much they might go for outside?
I have a ticket for weds, so was planning on sounding out the prices from the touts with a view to deciding whehter it's going to be worth my while buying off them on thurs. Will post on here to let you know what they were going for.
Hey guys I've got tix for tomorrow too, upstairs for the gf but would like to be downstairs for maybe the last ever Pulp London gig. I've bought from touts outside Brixton several times and the price depends on how close to the main band you are prepared to wait for. Last time for me was for the sold out Sex Pistols and the price went from £100 2 hrs before to £5 10 mins before they came on. If the touts have tickets left something is better than nothing. I've paid £5 for SOAD,Happy Mondays and The Manics. There's often always people with spares who just want their money back too. It is a gamble but usually quite a fun one-meeting and drinking with other people looking for tix. Obviously never buy an eticket. For me I couldn' afford more than £20 but am hoping for £10 if I do go down.
There appears to be a ticket on sale on Scarlet Mist at the moment for tonight, at face value. More tickets may appear on there today/tomorrow so worth keeping a check on or signing up for the e-mail alert if you need a ticket.
Shhh! I've been checking obsessively the last 2 days. Bit gutted, as I had signed up for an email alert, and only discovered last night I had about 6 in my junk mail - of course they had gone by the time I discovered them - grr.
Touts were selling for £60 tonight as the first price, but they would have sold for £50. I didn't try to get them down further as they didn't have tickets for tomorrow which is what I need. That was about 6pm. Does anyone what the best time to buy usually is? (Other than waiting until support is on which I don't have the nerve for!)
If I don't get a ticket before then I imagine I'll be loitering outside the venue somewhere as it's only a bus ride away. When Radiohead played Hammersmith a few years back I did the same and someone came out and gave me a ticket for free, he said he only came for the support band 'nutter'. doubt that will happen again though.
