Despite her not being on my lastfm profile (some tagging fuck-up on windows media player), the artist I've listened to the most by far this year is Anna Calvi.
Nick Cave's always been a big favourite, David Bowie, Leonard Cohen, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Ultravox, Adam Ant and Bruce Springsteen to name a few more. Pretty varied when I stop to consider it!
Manic Street Preachers, The Stone Roses, Smashing Pumpkins, The Smiths, Pixies, Radiohead, Happy Mondays, The Libertines, Oasis, Blur, The Strokes, Foo Fighters, RATM, The Cult, QOTSA, Viva Brother, The Clash, Joy Division, Pavement, New Order, R.E.M.

To whoever posted Thos Henley, thank you! And who is he? He doesn't even seem to have a wiki page? He's so obscure, how can someone with that voice who wrote that song be so obscure???
Bit of comfort for Clodia assuming you do mean Yahoo Mail, Your missing out on some sweet ass music but... you live in Austria! So, swings and round abouts yeah?
If you tell me you live in Salzburg I'm just going to be sick with jealousy...

Sorry, I meant Spotify, not Yahoo. Thos Henley was posted by me; I discovered him totally by accident when he was playing in a club in my town (Innsbruck, not Salzburg) for free ... He is quite obscure, although magazines do seem to pick up now that he has released an album of sorts. There's some info here:http://www.last.fm/music/Thos+Henley
Low, Leonard Cohen, Wilco, Neil Young, Spacemen 3, Blur, Loop, Brian Eno, Kraftwerk, Serge Gainsbourg, Guided By Voices, Galaxies 500, Red House Painters, Stars of The Lid, Pink Floyd ....
Once met Leonard Cohen and it was the best day ever. Probably wondered why some 20 year old lad liked him so much.
That Akala track is great! Am loving the violin! (I thought I'd commented but probably forgot) Everyone should listen to Magnetic Fields. Did you see the Stephin Merrit documentation? It's quite interesting.
Do you mean documentary? Didn't know there was one but am going to find out more! He's steadily becoming my second favourite lyricist after you know who.
