Everything from Wireless minus Mile End, then. They seem to be sticking to this set...

Sarah Neufeld (Arcade Fire) joined them for Common People:

correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the opener festival and Wireless festival setlist the same - hope they're not just going to stick with this for the rest of the festivals

Yeah, it was.

A minor quibble but......with the curfew imposed at Wireless, I think they should have started twenty minutes earlier to play more of the songs that they've done elsewhere so far this summer (Razzmatazz, Pencil Skirt, Like A Friend, Countdown, His'n'Hers) because it was the first show announced and the one most likely to have most Pulp fans at it.

Having the exact same set-list as a festival appearance in Poland a couple of nights previously diluted the importance of the Hyde Park gig as just another ''festival'' appearance when it was initially sold as THE show to see Pulp's comeback.

agreed - was still shouting play countdown at the stage whilst people where leaving the park. I was so sure they would do an encore, particularly when they left the stage at 5 minutes early

Blame London Council for that. Thye got strict rules regarding. The setlist will probably be a bit more varied at the Brixton concerts.

Blur went on a bit later and played longer. Same for Roger Waters a few years back. I reckon they have got strict this year though, looking at reviews/complaints from pulp and arcade fire. Also apparently the shows were all far too quiet too?

I'm getting to thinking that these setlist aren't geared to the die-hard fans. Remember Pulp haven't played to Serbian/Polish audiences before, who may have only heard his n hers/different class, maybe a bit of hardcore. Guarenteed the sets will be more varied come Aug/Sept. If i see him before hand i'll ask Mark if that's the case.

Can you please ask Mark about the Coachella 2012 and North and South American tour rumours. If they're really happening, and if not, why not, etc.

Seeing Arcade Fire before Pulp must have been extraordinary.

Did anyone else get the laser questions before the show besides Primavera?

Even if the setlist for Wireless wasn't aimed at die-hard fans, it still seemed to bore to death most people who were around me. I can understand people chatting during Bar Italia if they've not heard it in years, but to be texting and chatting during things like Babies was just bizarre.

Hoping Brixton will be different although, given how hard it was to get tickets - and how many tickets the touts got hold of (and are selling for ££££s) is it more likely to be the case that Brixton is going to 80% full of people with a little too much money who have picked up a ticket on a whim...?

I must have got lucky where I was stood at Wireless, people were singling along to every line and loving it.

Liltman, glad to hear someone had a good time! My friends were much further into the crowd and merely encountered a lot of shoving from people who, again, didn't seem to know the songs. Very odd crowd. But it was quite like that for Blur, too.

With a crowd that size you get a little bit of everything. I was nearly trampled by dance, had a beer thrown in my face, and a fight broke out in front of me at one point.

As for the enthusiasm, my area went mental for DYRTFT, Babies, and Common People. That's it! People talked through everything else, even complaining that Jarvis was talking too much (really!) Sunrise was painful. People talking and chanting "Play Common People" Thank god I had a friendly Australian man singing along with me. He provided many insightful moments "Black Eyed Peas sold this out, but not Pulp? Why do people like shit music?"

I was right at the front and had none of this - everyone around me was singing along and no fights / piss being thrown around. honestly its like your describing a whole different festival to the one I was at and we must have only been standing a few metres away

I know, shudder to think! I was standing about 30 people back, in front of Steve. I wish I was in the area designated "Well behaved Fan" as you're describing lol  Still, how can I possibily complain? I saw Pulp live!*

*I do not support that shirt!

After going for a piss though I ended up in a bit with no atmosphere at all during Sunrise, then I spotted a couple going mental, thought they looked like fun and joined them for Common People!
