Like most you lot I would love to go, but I don't think I can afford it. Pending a sudden cash windfall, the only way they'll get me to dig deep into my pockets again so soon is if they make an announcement to the effect of: "this once-in-a-lifetime concert will span Pulp's full 30 year history".

Uh you'll be going with me if I happen to get two tickets :P
Brixton is between Reading/Leeds & Electric Picnic, so they have a couple of nights spare (assuming 1st September if 31st August sells out). Any UK tour would probably be towards the end of the year (November/December).
Arghhhh do you think this really will be the last show?? I dunno whether to try and get tickets for both dates or not... Really don't want to go the one show and have them play loads of DC songs and then to find out that at the other gig they did His'n'Hers, Like a Friend, Countdown and Death Comes To Town all in a row or something!!!

I would literally cry if I missed a show where they played Death Comes to Town.. TEARS
I'm basing my mad scrambling for a flight over whether or not my friends can grab a spare ticket for me.. presale is before payday and regular sale is 04:00am my time
Should I even hope for a third date on 30th of August? Or is that never going to happen?
Less likely than the 2nd September, as they are playing Leeds on 28th. If there is a third date (I think it is unlikely) it would probably be on Friday 2nd.

No, I don't think it will be the last show as Pulp, though it may be the last with the full line up. (Idle speculation reading between lines).
I suspect there will be two different set lists on each night. They will have the big hits like Common People, DYRTF?, Sorted, Disco 2000 and Babies at both, but will probably mix and match the others. I suspect that with the pre-sale, the first night may delve deeper into the back catalogue. (again, idle speculation, don't take my word for it).
Hey all. Massive long time fan of Pulp, but have never signed up to this board (don't normally use forums). Have signed up just to ask this...
Are they planning on sending more emails out, as I signed up to the mailing list a while ago, but nothing has come through to my inbox. Do normally get things from them.
Really want to do at least one of the Brixton shows, and am scared they will sell out in the presale. This is Pulp, after all.
Any help really would be appreciated, and i'd owe you big time. Many thanks :)
This is bloomin' painful. I cannot justify paying out for two nights. Hope that the encores are similar at both shows. I was so upset when I went to see them in Brixton in 2002 and missed the night that they played "Anorexic Beauty".
A second date at Brixton is already added, 1st September: http://www2.seetickets.com/nme/event.asp?artist=pulp&filler1=see&filler3=id1nmestory
Interestingly enough that second date is now removed, but I guess it's only temporarily.
I suspect that two dates are booked. But only once the first date sells out will the second go on sale. I'd prefer Thursday to Wednesday as I will probably only go to one night.
Silly question, but how much are the tickets? Not seen any prices for this (nor Morrissey for that matter) and they all go on sale Friday. (Wednesday for pre-sale)
Is this a fair assumption to make: The first night will have the lesser known songs because it will probably mostly be people signed in to pulppeople who have prebooked? @LeoVK I would be gutted if the same happened here

Id doubt this will be the last date. Since they got big, theyve only ever missed the Sheffield/S Yorks area once...I got the Brixton email as checking out of our hotel for Wireless. I'm giving it a pass, as cant justify the cost to get between Sheff and there, plus hotel costs.
ARGH!!! I am seriously considering selling a limb so I can attend both shows hehehehehehe
I am not going on holiday this year cause of all this, IOW, Wirless, Leeds, two nights at Brixton......... I might as well set up a direct debit into Pulp's bank account!!!!!!
I've joked about selling a kidney to pay for my flight already hahaha
Kidneys and limbs are not disposable. Egg cells, on the other hand, are well worth cashing in. Plus, you can have peace of mind knowing that somewhere out there is a child with your excellent music taste woven into his/her genes.
