Nice timing. There's no way I can afford tickets after long weekend in London. Looks like I'll be sitting this one out.

Hmm. Rather good news. This'll make up for not going to Wireless.

I did the night they didn't play Common People.  Have taken a less than interested friend to see Pulp/Jarvis and all he did was moan on both occassions that they/he didn't play Common People.

Would be good if the set is a little more wide ranging.

Didn't get an e-mail! Can anyone describe the shirts?

 OH DEAR!!

This time I think I am not taking any friends along and just hook up with some of you guys, don't want anyone not enjoying it as much as I do, plus I wanna queue up early.

Aww man, I'm going to be laid on a beach in Menorca, wishing I was in Brixton! I hope they announce something for Sheffield soon

I think this might be hard to get tickets for. I did manage to get Blur tickets for Wolverhampton and this will probably be a similar struggle. Can they don't come up north? Not Manchester cause our venues arn't great but Sheffield would be grand.

I knew there was a reason I skipped wireless (apart from not wanting to spend best part of £200 on an outdoor show full of morons)

There is a pre-sale to those registered on pulp people, so should be ok to get tickets.  Then again I thought that with the wireless pre-sale....

Yeah, pre-sales are usually easy for anyone to access. Touts are not stupid, they will have been right on it as soon as the twitter update was on there... Basically it will be nearly the same amount of people as general sale but with less tickets. Anyone get the feeling this is the last pulp gig? Obviously there is one festival after, but i'm not sure they'll tour afterwards. I live in hope... though.

Payday is Friday, so I'll have to get my tickets with the general public, if I'm going. It's the day after Candida's birthday, (and exactly 2 weeks before Mark's). Sing along anyone?

Myself and deebs from this forum tried to get a singalong going for Russell at Primavera (he turned 50 the previous week) but it was too difficult. In a less vast, indoor area you might fare better.

The touts got burnt a bit on wireless on Saturday and Sunday.  Maybe if they got the 241 they did alright, but there were a lot of tickets selling on seatwave for less than £55.   Same has happened for a few festivals/gigs this year, but I suppose they just take the odd loss alongside the more profitable gigs. Black Eyed Peas tickets were going for £100+ on Friday, so that's where they made.

Sorry, it's not the day before. It's nearly a week before! Kept thinking her birthday was 30th, but it's 25th. Oh well we'll sing anyway!

Yeah, I'm completely torn now: Brixton, or wait for another up North. Gah!

Fuck, fuck, fuck I'm in the USA for this.

Glastonbury and Wireless were special in their own ways but an indoor gig wouldve been amazing. I'm sure it won't be their last but I'm not back until the 16th September and if they tour I may well have missed them...

Yeah, the touts were probably selling them for about 15/20 when grace jones was on, this is what it was liek when blur did hyde park. These huge gigs are not money spinners cause the face is high enough anyway and there's normally a load floating about even if it sells out.

They'll probably have the tickets for the UK tour on sale 2nd September 9am.  Just as you are heading home on the train/coach...

Brixton is between Reading/Leeds & Electric Picnic, so they have a couple of nights spare  (assuming 1st September if 31st August sells out).  Any UK tour would probably be towards the end of the year (November/December).

Or they could just hop back across after Electric Picnic and do the North onwards? I really hope not since PJ Harvey and Arcade Fire have already announced gigs during this 17 day holiday I'm taking...
