I'm trying to work out which of you were whom while we were waiting for the doors to open... I was eavesdropping on your convos LOL :) I always try not to be noticed myself... I didn't wait around after to meet Jarvis, I didn't think that would happen, but I don't ever do that anyway... my loss but hey :p I was a bit disappointed they didn't do Razamatazz... but it was surreal to actually be a part of the energy during 'common people'... I have only ever seen that on youtube before. I hope Jarvis doesn't stop doing his solo gigs... I really enjoyed that in '09 as well. It is great that we didn't have to wait too long to see him back in OZ. I wish Darren Spooner would tour! hehe ;)
hey symphonie, well I was there from about 3pm - hmmm lets work this out, I had adidas sneakers on and tiger legprint tights and a big duffle jacket. I was smoking quite alot to pass the time. I may have given you a lighter if I'm thinking who you could be. Were you waiting at door 7 or 6?
and yeah, I dont usually wait around. I was having the same convo with someone about this in Melbourne - people who kind of demand that they must get a setlist, they must meet the band etc. Its like, the band is doing you a favour by playing so just be cool. Having said all of that, we waited because well, i had my vinyl with me and even though I have a photo of Jarvis and myself from around 6 years ago I thought well its now or never and I actually wanted to see if the other members of the band would come out. I would have been just so excited to get a photo with any of them and tell them how super they've been and how much fun the Australian shows are etc. So the fact that Jarvis came out and spent some time with us photos, signatures, well that was amazing, afterall little Albert was pulling on his jacket saying he wanted to go home. I hope our conversations werent too boring!!! Discussing what b-sides we want to hear and all trying to outdo each other with Pulp stories :P lots of fun though!
I was at gate 3 cutcopy, so I guess I didn't see you; I certainly would have remembered your outfit! :) Plus, I wouldn't know what to do with a lighter... ;) The conversations I heard were about how Jarvis bases most of his lyrics on his real life experiences... and they were discussing why someone would hide in a wardrobe with lusty intentions... interesting :)
sorry this is a bit off subject but does Jarvis often go down to meet the fans after a concert - calculating my chances of getting an autograph or photo after Brixton.
Ive never been to Brixton, but I think it was just a matter of waiting and by the time he did come out it, alot of people had left - By the time her came out there was probably only 15-20 people. It was lovely to say the least and it was great of him to do it + you know, Melbournes not quite the epi-centre that London is - I can imagine every one will be out to get a autograph when they play Brixton....GOOD LUCK Jazza!
from what I can remember Jarvis didnt mention much about Russell not being their in Melbs or in Perth, but in Sydney I did notice a sort of montage - well more Russell photo sans His'n'Hers being projected onto the screen and I think we all cheered when Jarvis mentioned him. Will remember more after i listen to the bootlegs.
Photos from Belles Will Ring who supported Pulp on their Aussie tour. Looks like they had a ball. If you get time to check them out, do so! They are amazing especially their first record 'Mood Patterns'. One of the best ever Sydney bands! If you dig your bands 60s, spectorish, psych and scott walker-ish.
3/6ths of them anyway. I hope they at least do a ''follow-up'' interview with Lamacq after the last show at Electric Picnic and talk about how the summer has gone for them.
I'm not sure where you are situated Twiggy, but maybe try their actual site. Ive been a fan of them since I first saw them open for the Long Blondes in brisbane in 2007 and have followed them ever since. Seen them loads of times and then when it was announced they were supporting Pulp - it was the best! Their newest record is The Crystal Theatre but try and pick up Mood Patterns if you can. I dont work for them , just really really love them.

Oh, I missed Nick and Candida in the second pic. 5/6ths then.
hokaina, are you a Melbourne person cause I download quite a few boots from 'fanmaderecordings' - its from that website? the guy also has great boots from Jarvis Australian 2009 tour from Melbourne and then Meredith the night after.....theyre gold. I thought the Melbourne show for Pulp this time around was the best. eee so excited and Thanks again!
Oh no i'm actually from Poland;). About this recording i find it at some blog, but it looks most likely to be originally from 'fanmaderecordings'. I downloaded this solo shows, and planned to check it in some free time. Makes me happy, because i have just a few of it. So thank you!
