Someone on here mentioned a while ago that Jarvis was heard on 6music inferring that Lamacq will have the first chance to interview the band, has anyone heard anything else?
Aye, it was me. Not so much as a dicky bird yet. Their comeback gig is a fortnight away...you imagine there'd be a PR deluge any time now. Or maybe they won't do press until before the UK festivals. A radio session would be mint. As an aside, was there a Pulp poster in the NME last week?
Possibly not but I imagine the press would be interested regardless. The music press certainly will be itching for interviews.
Actually, just listening back to Lamacq's show today; he played Misshapes and said afterwards that he was with Jarvis at the Radio Awards the other night (Jarvis was pipped to an award by Ronnie Wood I think) and asked about Pulp, and how preparations were going. Promised Jarvis not to reveal anything about the set-lists but confirmed that Jarvis will be on his show soon to talk about the reunion and they would mention it on twitter beforehand.
I read somewhere that Nick was on Radio Sheffield the morning after the reunion was announced in November and spoke about the likelihood of a Sheffield gig. Don't think it was mentioned on here at the time, so I doubt anyone caught it/recorded it.
Exclusive news! Just dropped into my inbox! BBC6Music has a world exclusive interview with Jarvis Cocker and anothermember of Pulp to be broadcast on the night of the first show Friday 27 May. More news as we have it!

Hmm, I proof read listings for Radio Times, including 6music, and I never saw anything. Will have a look on Monday and see if the detail has been updated at all to suggest they are.
Lamacq confirmed on his show on Monday that the interview took place that day with four-sixths of Pulp. No Russell or Nick, but the others were there. Apparently they are all feeling nervous about the reunion shows and Jarvis asked for the interview to go out later in the week as they didn't want to tempt fate.

do you?!! I worked there on the picture desk for 6 years - who are you?!!!
Cool! so maybe they know about this forum too...? *wishful thinking*
I wouldn't be surprised. I bet at least one of them will have got curious when surfing the internet late one evening...I'd imagine Mark or Nick possibly?
When they got onto talking about PulpWiki and the internet, I was willing them to bring up PulpTube for purely selfish reasons...wanted them to mention Going Back To Find Her. Free promotion!! Haha. Never mind. I'm assuming the winner of that is based on how many likes they receive from visitors by the way?
Great interview. Nice to hear Mark being a bit more vocal. I think all those years hosting on the film festival circuit has made him a bit more forthright. But...8 YEARS! and he can still play like that? Wow...just wow.
Condensed interview here, 33 minutes: http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/artists/76b2e842-5e85-4c97-ab62-d5bc315595b5#p00h7712 - it's just the heading media piece for the Pulp 6 Music page, it appears, so I don't know if it'll be there forever. I'll see if I can record and mp3ify it later on
- well, I'm buggered if I can find the option in Audacity to record the stereo mix in Windows 7 - will try to get it, but can't promise anything.

Joyriders! I have the full interview in high quality, but it's a 50MB file! I tried to reduce the bitrate from 128 to 64, but the quality reduced a lot and also the file remained large (22MB)... Well, I'll try to posting on 4Shared and provide the link here later ;)
(I consider 4Shared a good option because I believe it supports 50MB and thus allows those who wouldn't download the mp3, just to listen to. But if you have any other option, feel free to say ;)
