First @pulp2011 says: "So many places to go, so little time. We do see all your requests & we're doing what we can. x"
Then a few hours later: "No plans to tour the UK (or anywhere else) at the moment, but let's enjoy these festivals over the summer & have some fun together. x"
So, brace ourselves for a holiday romance being as good as it gets...
I did think it was a bit strange that one or two people mentioned on another thread that they had heard their own indoor tour was in the works for later. Surely a ''wait and see'' approach was always the more likely case, especially considering it's Pulp, who aren't exactly known for rushing things. In fact I'm a bit surprised when I see new dates being added on a weekly basis. They are doing so many festival dates in so many places. There's a lot of travel involved, something which they, or Russell and Candida to an extent (largely) lost interest and stamina for after '96, so maybe 20 or so gigs and thousands of air-miles will be as much as they want to do. But hopefully they will get the bug to carry on, and obviously a UK tour would be a lot easier to manage logistically and energy-wise.
iTunes Festival at the Roundhouse in July would be nice...! But then, of course, there's the frustration of having to win tickets and not just buy them straight away. Either that or pay stupid money on the black market.
