ArrGee's comments this week about VHS tapes was the final kick I needed to get some of my video tapes into digital format. Something I have been meaning to do for some time.

So I am uploading some videos of random PULP clips onto Youtube. Most of them are from Canada so to some, these might be of interest due to the rarity factor, and for Canadians, the nostagic factor, cuz like myself, others in the forum might be one of the 'kids' in the audience at the Much Music appearances.

This is the first clip. The rest can be accessed from there

Finally, the Conan O'Brien version of "Party Hard"! I've never seen it before. I think some friends of mine were at the taping of that. Thanks VoxPop!

Voxpop you legend. Stuff I'd never even known they'd done on tv. I should have gone to bed an hour ago though so you'll be to blame if my alarm clock doesn't go off in the morning.

The Mark and Jarvis interview was a particular highlight, especially when talking about Mark's love for minimalist composers and drones. ''At least I keep in the same key''!
In fact Mark features quite a bit in both '98 clips, Sarah will be happy about that.

The audience for that Jarvis/Mark interview was pretty hilarious: stone-faced young people with no reaction to anything, even when the subject matter turns to porn.

Yep. biggrin I had the soundtrack to the interview that someone sent me on audio tape. Mark looked so cute in his stripy jumper! <he has the cutest smile!!> Weird to see him without beard or glasses and with red hair.

The questions were a bit, er, North American weren't they? Somehow I can't imagine them being asked ''Are you consumers of pornography?'' by Cat Deeley on CD:UK.
We're repressed Anglo-Saxons, we don't talk about that sort of stuff...not with strangers anyway.
Not sure how much the interviewer ''got'' Pulp, even though there were some decent questions.

Vox Pop thank you very much for uploading these. I never saw most of these and also it was such a joy to see the Christmas TOTP 'Common People' again. I remember watching that back in 1995 and in my memory I thought the sign had said 'We Want a Revolution' but now I see it here my memory was wrong!

I agree that interview with Mark and Jarvis is great and the interviewer was great. She asked really interesting questions. Such a breath of fresh air. Thanks again smile.gif

Yes, thank you very much. I've seen a few Much Music interviews on youtube now- she's a good interviewer. Mark looked so young!

The 1991 performance is really good- they really had it together- Countdown in particular. Hope it gets released.
