OK - at Christmas when ScottFrazer very kindly uploaded Cuckoo and Sunrise demos for us all to enjoy I believe a few said we should post a list of what we have lying around our hard drives to see if there's anything worth while sharing. Well I've had a bit of a tidy up and typed up a list.

I don't think there's anything that I've got that isn't widely availble and a lot was shared on this forum and in the Yahoo accounts anyway but you never know so here it is (in no particular order you'll find!):

I had a break from Pulp for a while and missed out on almost all of this. I've searched on google for some but had very little success. If you could send me or point me in the right direction of the Pulp studio recordings/demos I would be very grateful. From that list I currently only have the Sudan Gerri demo, What Do You Say and All Time High.

The Radcliffe session, I'm sure, would be a very welcome addition. I just about remember it! Is the chat with Radcliffe included? Also, is the Fon version of Don't You Want Me much different from the final version? Thanks a lot!

It is different, I can't remember if it's better or worse. I'll have to dig it out and have a listen.

I've heard that an early song called "You're Too Cruel" is doing the rounds. It's probably bollocks but you never know... anyone?

The keyboards on the FON version of Don't You Want Me Anymore? more closely resemble the live version. The final studio recording is the superior one in my mind.

I'd be amazed if this were true - they never recorded this song in a studio as far as I know, and I've never heard of any live/practice tapes circulating from the period they were playing it (1980, or at a push 1981). Where did you hear about it Ian?

I've uploaded the Mark Radcliffe 1993 Session - which is just the songs no talk (Lipgloss, Joyriders, Have You Seen Her Lately, His n Hers) and the FON version of Don't You Want Me Anymore to the 2006 account - Just had a listen to the file and unfortunately its cuts off the last 5 seconds which is a bit irritating!

baritallia2006@yahoo.co.uk
pulp2006

That will also answer shotoki's question - just change the year for more stuff.

I did amalgamate all the yahoo accounts into one google mail account ages ago but I appear to have forgotten the login details!

Thanks for the information :). Already downloaded the caff single and Sickly Grin is great, could have been a hit with a bit of polish, but Back In LA is terrible! Is that the best recording out there? Will look forward to hearing the rest!

The one thing that saves "Back in LA" for me is the fact that it's only 2 minutes long. I think it would have got boring if it was any longer.

I just expected a half decent recording since it was officially released. You can barely hear the instruments, just an awful vocal. Makes Silence sound like a masterpiece in comparison

does anyone have the rarer My first wife (vs 1) that begins with the lyrics "It was a summer's day, a real summer's day" (after some lalalala) It should be circulating, but after looking for it for years I always find the one with the "I won't think of love" chorus.

"Ask-a-Bootleg-Day"

I'm throwing away all my Pulp bootlegs. In the garbage bin. (Sorry for this blasphemy.)

Before I do that, I declare today officially: "Ask-a-Bootleg-Day"

Only today, after midnight they'll be gone! blankstare Only file transfers.

So, pick one from this list: http://home.kabelfoon.nl/~vdlubbe/pulpshows.htm
And post a reply about how to transfer and the format you prefer: Flac/Ape/Wav/Alac/Wma-lossless

And I'll do my best!

Wow, very good of you.

You seem to have two lists of audio bootlegs, so not sure which one is the right one .
I've wanted to hear this one for a while:

''22.07.1995 Heineken Festival (+interview)''

It was their next gig after Glastonbury. Curious to hear how it compares.

Format? I honestly don't mind. Not fussy on lossless sound, with Flac a lot of media players don't read it.
How to transfer? The Bar Italia account, or one of the filesharing networks?

Ooh, that's very nice! :)

lots of lovely stuff, but the one I'd like the most is

26 February 1993 - Manchester, Manchester University - 45 minutes - AUD - quality B+/A
Pink Glove / Stacks / Razzmatazz / 59 Lyndhurst Grove / Acrylic Afternoons / She's A Lady / Your Sister's Clothese
Babies / O.U.

format I prefer would be flac, but mp3 320 or 192 is also ok if that means less trouble for you. how: mediafire? (or megaupload? or rapidshare?)

thanks in advance!

but reading you're throwing it away breaks my heart a little...

Not exactly. When I saw that Anachronism is a dutch guy, I pm'ed joking not to throw them away but that I would come and get them. And that's exactly how it went. I just got home after meeting Anachronism for 2 minutes (my fault, couldn't find a parking place, my cellphone didn't have enough prepaid money, etc, etc, I feel quite silly but apologised to him). So before me stands a box chockfull of cd's. it will take some time to catalogue (is that a verb?) it all. I'll keep in touch. :)
