The fact that so many of you have shown interest is an inspiration - we knew it was a big part of OUR lives, it's exciting to know it's a big part of YOUR lives too. We have played the songs and the songs sound good. We can have fun together, get to know each other again. Christ, it's been too long - we'd almost forgotten what you look like. Don't ever let that happen again. Cross your heart? And so it grows... each day that passes brings us closer together. It's exciting isn't it? So much to say, so much to share. Is that a new haircut? That email they sent on New Year's Day reminded me a lot of the Pulp People cover, Feb '95: DEAR PULP PEOPLE EVERYWHERE, WE ARE NOW AT THE MID-POINT OF THE DECADE, THE FULCRUM UPON WHICH THE 90S BALANCE BEFORE TIPPING OVER TOWARDS THE YEAR 2000, TOWARDS THE NEW MILLENIUM. I BELIEVE THAT THIS YEAR WILL BE ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR ALL OF US, THAT THE EVENTS & OCCURENCES OF THIS YEAR WILL REVEAL THE PATHS OUR LIVES WILL TAKE FOR MANY YEARS TO COME. SO PLAEASE, EVERYONE, BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL AND VIGILANT. YOU MADE 1994 SO PLEASURABLE FOR US SO PLEASE BE SAFE 'COS I WORRY ABOUT YOU SOMETIMES. THE PORTENTS FOR 1995? WELL, FROM HERE IT LOOKS GOOD - THE ROADWORKS HAVE FINISHED, TEA HAS BEEN SCIENTIFICALLY ENDORSED AS A HEALTH AID & THERE'S EVEN A NEW ISSUE OF ''DISCO-VERY'' ON THE WAY - IT'S OFFICIAL. A part of me wishes they had a crack multimedia team on this and were U-streaming rehearsals on their website (like Jarvis did with the art-exhibition solo thing), but then that would kill some of the magic when we see them in the summer. Exciting times though - we stayed alive in '95 - will seeing Pulp in '11 be our heaven? I doubt they're rehersing at 4 am lol ;) I know what you mean tho', that new year's message is very Pulp if that makes any sense. So excited now, I wish I could go into stasis until the summer! __________________ Oh god, you'd better leave town. Before you get caught in the Covid lock down.
