Thats your lot from me lol someone else can post stuff now, something significant - i tell you what though, what ever happened to trading of concerts and stuff - there was once a huge demand for bootlegs and live gigs etc and they just died off.
People dont want to trade no more - they just want to collect and collect. Does anyone on here actually use the likes of Soulseek or actually trade gigs?
Getting back to the demo - this is completely different to the released version. Still has its charm, BOTH demo and released versions have their good and bad parts - was nice to hear the transition between the two versions.

I knew you were gonna be back with another treat ! thanx :)
Gotta say i much prefer the released version, this one lacks the "groove" the finished one got. what really struck me from these two demos is that they knew were they were going all along. seems like Walker had little to no unput really, except twisting the buttons and choosing the songs maybe ?
I always figure what I have is not worth trading. I assume what I have is common. I have a few cd's that I am still going through, so I will be sharing more once I get through them all. Thanks for sharing.
Sunrise was the only song I think were it is possible to track it's progress. From the 'Quiet Revolution' concerts to Reading/Leeds 2000 then Homelands 2001 and the album. Having known the song for nearly 2 years before it was officially released I was quiet taken aback by what Scott Walker had done with it in terms of production - particularly in the outro. This is a treat to listen to. Thanks again.
On the subject of trading I too feel that all I have is generally widely available anyway. I'm usually happy to just upload stuff anyway. With the technology and internet download speeds we now have make it much easier to share music. Whereas in the past the easiest and most convienient way was by post.
Both methods of course have their pros and cons but I believe music is partly a social thing and that we tend to enjoy sharing and communicating what we like and what we don't.
We attend concerts and nightclubs to share and display affection for what we love en masse and we display and share what we like now on applications such as Spotify and LastFM.
At some point I will compile a list of what I have - but I doubt there will be much of great intrest!
best time for trading on the internet was Soulseek, back in mid 2000, when you could find some awesome rare stuff and share the (little) things you got. I remember spending hours on it.
Never been much intro trading by post, but ive the done the few odd music conventions where i live to find rare stuff.
Vague memories of soulseek coming flooding back. I think that's where I found the live versions of cuckoo, quiet revolution, Return To Air etc. Happy times indeed!
Anyone got their hands on Quiet Revolution demo ? After hours of searching the web yesterday i almost thought i got it, but the website i found had.... the flux one.
Some mention they have it, but no link...
Also: how about we make a thread where each one of us post the entire list of stuff we got. I dont think i got many rare stuff, but we never know. I own all Jarvis solo bsides on CD, in case anyone is interested.

Thanks! Have had company over the 'festivities', should be able to listen to it propperly tonite tho. What I've heard so far (the first minute or so) is very interesting, different lyrics and it sounds a lot more like Pulp than the released versions. As in you can actually hear the keyboard lol. Cheers, much apreciated :)
