My friend of the band has just had her band reviewed by Russell Senior and she's told me she'll ask him about headlining Glasto if she sees him again. He'll probably say "no comment" though.
And for you yanks still holding out hope for Pitchfork Festival, the Melt Festival dates are in conflict and confirm that Pulp will not be going to Pitchfork this year.

Pulp being rumoured to play Leeds/Reading. With The Strokes and Muse - like in 2002.
The Strokes, Pulp, Muse To Play Reading And Leeds Festival 2011? Gigwise understands... January 25, 2011 by Jason Gregory
The Strokes and Muse are among the headliners at this year's Reading and Leeds festivals, Gigwise understands.
Pulp are also rumoured to be making an appearance at the dual festival, which takes place from August 26-28. The band have reunited for a series of festival performances this summer, including Wireless in London.
On Monday (January 24), Reading and Leeds festival promoter Melvin Benn confirmed that all three headline acts for this year's event had already been booked.
He refused to be drawn on the names of the performers, but told BBC Newsbeat they were staggeringly good".
Gigwise has been told by a spokesperson for Festival Republic, who organise the festival, that they will "not be commenting on any rumours".
Yeah, just seen that PJ Harvey and PIL have been added. Don't know whether to get a weekend ticket before the price goes up again on Saturday or chance a one-day one when they become available. Funds are a bit low so might have to wait til the one-day tickets go on sale. Pulp are definitely playing the Friday right?
Yep. I am afraid it will sell out and thinking I should buy my ticket asap instead of waiting to see if I can get a press pass (can't apply until March)
Glasto, headlining at least, looks more unlikely now. Coldplay for fuck sake - surely anyone who wants to see them has done so by now?
Coldplay will headline the Saturday night (June 25) at this year's Glastonbury.
The band, who had been strongly rumoured to play at the festival, will top the bill on the Pyramid Stage for the third time in their career, reports The Sun.
However, The Rolling Stones appear to have turned out the chance to headline the festival, despite being given a "massive offer" to play, according to the newspaper.
Last year, organiser Michael Eavis hinted about the identity the Sunday night headliner, stating it is "an American artist that I've been wanting for yonks and yonks".
He also told BBC News he has asked U2 to headline the festival on the Friday (June 24), but has yet to receive a response from the Irish band.
The four-piece were forced to pull out of headlining last year's festival after singer Bono injured his back.
Glastonbury 2011 takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton. Billed music takes place on June 24-26, with the site opening on June 22.
There's still a very good chance, the rumour has been that they'd be headlining Sunday, which is still free. It looks likely to be them or... Beyonce. I'm praying for the former, obviously.

R.E.M.
As for Pulp, don't you think Glasto would want some kind of exclusivity agreement from their headliner? If it were Pulp's first show, I'd say 'yeah maybe', but seeing as they'll have played a few other festivals before Glastonbury, it seems unlikely to me that they'd be the Sunday headliner. Lets be honest with ourselves, Coldplay is the bigger draw.
Pulp will only have played Primavera before Glasto (unless more, earlier shows are announced) and not played in Britain. Still, you might be right. And Coldplay are a bigger draw but given Eavis' penchant for choosing 'classic' artists who have long since passed their commercial highpoint, Pulp were always a strong contender. Add their history with the festival, moreso.
Although REM were rumoured it's unlikely as it's since been announced they're not touring. The rumour was also that they would play and not headline. Also, Glasto never ask for exclusivity from their headliners
Sunday night Glasto headliner has been rumoured to be Prince. I suppose Eavis has his first and then backup choices so it depends how far down the list Pulp would be. There's always the Other Stage too (preferably when Coldplay are on the Pyramid)
