I just noticed that this recording is quite a different version to the one we know. What do you guys think? Better? Odd? Interesting?

Sorry if this has been mentioned before. New to me :)

I don't think I've heard this version. How different is it from the Peel Sessions version (which I love)?

The lyrics are quite different! I couldn't find them on Pulpwiki from this session. They had the variation from the Peel Session.

Send me a pm ;)

You mean the Black Session 1992? It's true that there're so many differences in the lyrics. Considering the time when this came out, maybe it was like a demo?

That must be the case. Yes, it is the 1992 Black Session recording.

Yeah the Black Session one is interesting but the best version of all is from the Peel session. Not mired in reverb like on His'n'Hers, much more natural energy in the vocals and the instruments are a lot clearer. One of my favourite Pulp session performances - sleazy, superb, epic-sounding.

Yeah, the Peel Sessions version just builds and builds. It's really intense. So good!

I agree, the Peel Session version is better
