i can kind of imagine him in the show, it would be funny, but then they have to sign up for AGES afterwards to do the tour, can't imagine him doing that!!!!

I think Jarvis was about as serious about this as he was about Pulp playing Glastonbury next year.

I would really hate to see my favourite celebs on any reality shows. I hope Jarvis never considers masterchef or celebrity hell's kitchen either... eek! I have cringed with embarrassment the way some celebrities behave on those shows.

What a predicament... I generally loathe shows like this, and the soap opera that's created around them to keep the show in the press - but I do think it'd be genuinely funny to see Cocker on something so out of context. It was always amusing to see him in the heyday on This Morning or whathaveyou - but shows like this take themselves way too seriously. Cocker would be good at taking that apart a little, perhaps. He used to mention that he felt like he let down his fans if he went on some show such as this, and be bland and uninteresting, so that's possibly a good omen, and it's equally - if not more - possible I'm dwelling on this way too much.

As for the above-mentioned Masterchef... how irritating are those two guys shouting at each other about food? It's like they're trying to out angry each other about potential future mistakes and let-downs with dinner to prove they're the ones that care more about it. I reckon they're right cunts.

Yes, TV became nasty with Anne Robinson, but now every-bloody-show seems to think it requires this nasty element to it, which can be entertaining, but it's just trotting out the same old shite over and over, with no creativity now. "Oooh, let's do masterchef, but shout at people!" "Let's do Come Dancing, but make it STRICT" - unoriginal bollocks!

I'm off to lie down in a darkened room until the foam clears...
