It's been a while since these have been done and I've found myself listening to (and liking) Pulp songs I've not played for a while (i.e. "What Do You Say?"/"Sylvia"). So here goes, it would be too hard to put these in order but my current top 10 is:
Pink Glove (Peel Session) - just incredible. Live On - Another song that comes ´´alive´´ in session rather than on record...(though this never made it onto record)
It´s A Dirty World This Is Hardcore
(Probably the two most technically impressive songs Pulp wrote. Epic and despite being both over five minutes I always want to replay them when they finish)
(And the 6 below are perenially in my top ten)
Cuckoo TV Movie Something Changed Ansaphone Birds In Your Garden Wickerman
1) Wishful Thinking (Peel Session Version) 2) F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.L.O.V.E. (post 2000 - the best recording I heard of this so far was Homelands) 3) Sunrise 4)Do you remember the first time? 5) Little Girl (with the blue eyes) 6) Acrylic Afternoons 7) Razzmatazz 8) The Fear (Live extended version - the guitar off between Richard and Mark is quite spectacular) 9) Live Bed show (again post 2000 extended version) 10)This is Hardcore
Countdown (extended mix) Lipgloss Pink Glove Do You Remember The First Time? Seconds Party Hard (single mix) Seductive Barry Glory Days Wickerman Bob Lind (the only way is down)
Do You Remember The First Time? Sorted For E's & Wizz FEELINGCALLEDLOVE Live Bed Show My Legendary Girlfriend Razzmatazz Little Girl (with Blue Eyes) Party Hard Weeds Mile End
1.Live Bed Show (Summer 1996/Autumn 2001 versions) Love it. Especially second half from 2002 outro.
2.Something Changed Forever the best!
3.Bad Cover Version "Bad cover version of love..."
4.It's a Dirty World Mistake severed part of the album.
5.Like a Friend (album version) 100% hit. And why they never performed it live?
6.The Birds in Your Garden Second "Something Changed".
7.Wickerman This song is almost about our town. We have a hydroelectric dam, metal works, coal mines, and our city is situated on the parallel of Sheffield.
8.Roadkill Just a pretty sad song. It sounds like cold autumn wind.
9.I Spy (Brixton 1995) Best orchestral accompaniment "in the midnight hour".
I love life Watching Nicky Razzmatazz Rattlesnake We can dance again Your sisters clothes(mark goodier session) Babies Disco 2000 PTA Cocaine socialism
Lipgloss This is Hardcore My Legendary Girlfriend Your Sister's Clothes Seconds His 'n' Hers (Yep, I do love The Sisters EP) Underwear Bad Cover Version Forever in My Dreams Blue Glow
Seconds - rediscovered just this Saturday night, after a particularly heavy night in Manchester. On the way to buy some cigs at 3am. Yes, we did the 14 year old phone/speaker thing (though it was a proper battery powered speaker) and this song was so good at the time that I'm only a little embarassed about that.
Ansaphone - was also rediscovered at the same time
This is Hardcore
The Fear (breakdown one, if you must know)
His 'n' Hers
Razzmatazz. Particularly the auto recording, listen for someone shouting for Wickerman, and place bets on who, from this forum, it was... (not me)
Ladies' Man - reminds me of my college days, I listened to this track a dozen times on the day it was released in the computer labs, so it's here as a nostalgia trip more than anything.
Help The Aged - first Pulp song I taped off the radio!
Wickerman? hmmm that would be the gentleman who was stood next to the guy shouting My Lighthouse......................;) ahh such good memories of that gig..... and meeting candida too !!
"taxi for doyle" ................. Scotty - " no idea mate sorry...."
next thing, candida walked out..................... legendary moment lol
Razzmatazz. Particularly the auto recording, listen for someone shouting for Wickerman, and place bets on who, from this forum, it was... (not me)
Now who could that have been?

That's the one! I also recall another board poster shouting "Master of the Universe"!
And as for meeting Candida, that was a legendary moment, I can't agree with you more. Happy days!

Help the Aged I can't stop listening to this at the moment, I'm playing it on repeat in my car for some reason or another. Whilst it wasn't the best choice for a comeback single, it's still a good song with a great video to accompany it.
Looking For Life I might be in a minority here but I think that it is better than anything off the "It" album and an edited version would have fared better as a single than "Everybody's Problem".
Being Followed Home A permanent resident in my top 10.
Glory Days See above.
FEELINGCALLEDLOVE Edinburgh Corn Exchange 2000. The memories
Weeds Can't stop listening to this at the moment, especially the second half.
My Legendary Girlfriend I have a love/hate relationship with this song. At the moment I can't get enough of it.
The Fear The best start to an album ever.
The Day After The Revolution "This is Hardcore" also ends on a high.
In Many Ways I can't think of anything else to say about this except it's wonderful!
