Just for you. Because I care.

Do you think if we all petition the BBC they'll put the whole concert on DVD?

Think about it. How much money could they generate through DVD sales?

If they can continue to use our money to keep that oik Moyles in a job, then surely we can get something nice in return?

Would anyone be interesting in putting together a fan-made release of the Eden Project gig?

First off, I hope it's okay to talk about this subject - I've read the forum guidelines and as far as I understand material that isn't commercially available is okay. This show should be on DVD and if the powers that be can't sort it out then a fan-made release, strictly non-profit and freely traded would be a good thing.

The AVI file of the gig that has been doing the rounds on the Internet over the last few years came from my VHS recording - I've recentl y put it onto DVD (highest quality possible) and been thinking it would be nice to add chapters, a menu and give the video/audio a bit of a remastering. I'd be quite happy to carry out this work if people would be interested in the finished result. If so I could use people's photos and press clippings, anything relating to the Eden show...

Let me know if any of you like the idea!

That's a fantastic idea! I love the enthusiasm of this board.

Thanks very much for sharing your VHS recording. I enjoyed it very much.

The BBC really should release this. Just think of the unaired portions of the show. The complete show would be a dream.

Pip, if you did that I would love you forever! Not having digital in 2002 and being at uni at the time, meant i missed the gig completely, but was completely blown away by Sunrise on the Hits DVD.

There is no money made on selling DVD's in such small quantities, but the nice thing is that we seem to be moving to all digital format. So maybe one day, we will be able to download shows from iTunes?

Indeed, that performance is great!

Well I've started work on it anyway - if anyone has any photos from the Eden gig, maybe even audio of the entire gig, anything related at all really then please get in touch!

Excellent! That could be an extra on the DVD - if I can gather enough pics they can run as a slideshow as it plays... What sort of quality is it? Any chance you could send it over to me by Bar Italia e-mail or other means?

It's my VHS (slow play) recording from the original (and only) broadcast on BBC Choice - it's in pretty good condition but then I've kept it safe as I knew it was valuable.

I've started work on the video remastering - there are currently nearly 85,000 frames saved as JPEG files on my laptop, the plan is to remove the very small amount of VHS dropouts (lines/white streaks on the tape) by using adjacent video frames. I could just bang it out on a DVD now but if I'm going to do this I want it done properly and as Jarvis once said, "I'm a professional". smile.gif If this is successful it could pave the way for future projects (Glastonbury 1995 for instance).

(It's doubtful given it was 2002 but if anyone was able to make a clean DVD recording at the time, please get in touch!)

I could try and contract ProudRobot on Youtube as he's posted quite high quality content from Eden on his pages.

Much much Kudos to you Pip because you are doing an amazing job! wink

It's going well anyway with 10 mins tidied up already i.e 1/6 of the way there...

Very noble of you PIp. Did the whole set on the night feature on the BBC coverage - I think there were a couple of songs left off it. Hate it when that happens.

The setlist was:

Trees
A Little Soul
Birds In Your Garden
Live Bed Show (awesome extended version)
F.E.E.L.I.N.G C.A.L.L.E.D L.O.V.E
I Love Life
Sunrise
Underwear
Babies
Common People

Sadly no Weeds, Bad Cover Version, Sorted For E's & Wizz, Help The Aged, This Is Hardcore or I Want You. But I'm hoping these are in Perfect's audio copy so at least they can be included as an audio only extra on the disc...

Proudrobot sent me this response:

Re:Pulp at Eden
Same username in Baritalia... I' just get my password into oblivion...

Back on topic I' Spent almost a month downloading Pulp at @ eden... Think that it was on Soulseek, if you aren't in a hurry I could Split the video (without cutting anything) in segments of 100 Mb and then upload those segments in Mediafire. But I'm not at home by now

(The video had segments of Jarvis tought's about Eden and some generic pulp gossip)

By the way... I'ven sharing the Songbook "interview" for months, my computer if offline at this moment, but tomorrow it will be back online.

Sorry but obviously English isn't my first language.

Pd. Could anyone get the Taiwan "Urban Simple Life 2008" televised Jarvis performance?

Not my doing I'm afraid! Credit where credit's due... smile.gif

I'm halfway through cleaning up the Eden video - painstaking but worth it! Red Bull and Haribo have helped...

Weird coincidence that they are both called Pip, haha.

BTW anyone want a link to the Homelands rar? Or I could post song by song on the account if anyone wants me to.

Hi Pip!

I've starting uploaded the songs on baritali2007.
the intro and the trees is up and right now I'm uploading "a little soul"
sadly none of the songs you mentioned below is in my copy but I'm hoping you and the rest will still appreciate it, cause it's still a really good concert.
I'll try to upload the rest as soon as possible.

That's great Perfect (what's your real name mate? haha) - I've compared it to the audio on my VHS copy and it is actually better (less hiss, more stereo balance), so I'll use that for the final version. Really appreciate the effort! :)

But... does anyone have the full version (see below) to share for this project? A full audience bootleg does exist...

http://www.pulpwiki.net/Pulp/EdenBootleg

It would be good to include the missing tracks on the DVD, which will be circulated to all freely upon completion!

No it's not my real name, i think that would be some kind of child abuse to name a child something like that. It's just a silly nickname I've used and couldn't really bother to come up with something more ehm original. Anyway glad to hear that it sounds good. I'll try to upload more songs today.

3 more songs are now on baritalia2007

Pip, the video copy you have, is it the one with a clip of some bouncing boxes at the beginning? I have a AVI copy, but I think it might be the same video you have?

Who was doing those excellent extra synthy bits over the intro to FCL, Mark or Candida? Either way, fucking amazing!

Yes, that's the copy I originally distributed via the UKNova torrent site... seems my copy is the only one to have made it online!

Thanks for the new MP3s Perfect, keep them coming! Work is going well on the video remastering front.

Still looking for the full live bootleg though... anyone?
