I was wondering what your dream setlist for the forthcoming tour would look like. This is mine:
Fat Children Caucasian Blues Pilchard Leftovers I Never Said I Was Deep Tonite Big Julie Homewrecker (or else from the new album) Slush Mary (Relaxed Muscle) Girls Like It Too Loss Adjuster (or else from the long list of 7min+ songs: Wickerman, Deep Fried etc.) ----------- Babies (the semi acoustic 2002 "4Scott" version ) Running the World You're in My Eyes (Discosong)
So, what's yours? Please try to be (at least a little bit) realistic. (We're all desperate to hear Cuckoo or After You but it's not going to happen...)

Something from Relaxed Muscle would be nice, but I guess that isn't gonna happen. I don't know what my dream setlist will be. Jarvis is entertaining enough, doesn't matter which song he plays.

I don't like those versions of Babies without the fun bouncy guitar riff, but I'd love the traditional version or even a rocked- up version. I'm bored of Fat Children, 'cos the drawn-out ending is too long. Quite like your set there tho'. Mary would be brilliant! (: I'd like to add Fuckingsong. Remembering he seems to like ending on a random cover these days, I would simply love to hear him do Empire State Human!!! Oh, & since I've started playing it live, Underwear. I might try & make a 'propper' list later tonite or tomorrow.
Of course it is! I'd love to hear Jarvis do Paranoid (Black Sabbath) again, even though it's completely out of the question he would do the same cover twice. It blew me away and was so unexpected. Also, in the unlikey event that he choses to do a random Pulp song then Little Girl With Blue Eyes please. And anything else he wants to, even Angela.

Actually, a few of those covers from the first solo tour showed up in multiple shows, "Paranoid" among them.
I wonder whether Jarvis will continue to play covers at the end of his set? I suppose he has done it up to now because he has not had quite enough of his own matieral to play. With another album's worth of songs that should no longer be a problem.

It was just a case of self-censorship. I felt like my little rant was too personal. I didn't want to high-jack the thread. I also worry that you lot think I'm completely nuts.
As a reasonable person, I have to say, I think the record is quite good. And I am enjoying my slice of humble-pie.
For what it's worth, Fuss Free, I actually appreciated, and to a large degree agreed with, that post of yours.
Regardless of what each of us thinks about Jarvis' solo albums, I like to think that we can all agree that Pulp were special, that they did some things you can't imagine any other band pulling off. ("Street Lites" is an excellent example.) I mean, why else would we be on this board, anyway?
