Fair enough. Considering this is a Pulp forum, asking him about the band doesn't seem such a novel concept to me. As he hasn't spoken about Pulp for the best part of a decade you imagine one cursory inquiry wouldn't cause him to recoil in horror.
Then again, the reason why he hasn't spoke about the group in all that time could very well be that he doesn't give a shit about it anymore. Whatever.

I posted an interview that Mark gave to the Lux in 2006, where he gives a few cursory mentions about being in the band, but they are there. He hasn't totally expunged them from his life, which is something I think.

so, is it customary to pay for interviews?  i mean, i can see why that would be lucrative at certain levels, but is it really something to have a "Jarvis Cocker Interview" in a publication?

does Pitchfork pay Jarvis?

No, that's not the way it generally works unless you're talking tabloid exposé stuff.

Thanks for the Webber offer Sarah, I'll pass though!

http://crami.lux.org.uk/interviews/mark_webber/page_1.html

It goes on for 5 pages and gives details about "Little Stabs" and few other film programmes Mark was involved in.

Sturdy - Appreciated. Although I will offer this nugget about the origin of the name "Zig", which you may be interested in.

Zig came from when I was young and used to play video games and on the highscores list you could only put 3 letters so "Mark" wouldn't fit. I chose Zig cos I was a big David Bowie fan. Then I used that name when I started writing fanzines. I've spent a lot of years trying to live it down. Some people still call me it sometimes.

Anyone know the easiest/cheapest way to get a copy of Truth & Beauty (I'll settle for the orirginal version) in Canada? I've been meaning to get a copy for years but have never seen it available here...

Much appreciated.
