I wouldn't be long then. I remember Jarvis saying in the Different Class deluxe booklet that albums come out before the tour to capitalise on it. Or maybe it is a more warm-up tour or something.

No Manchester this time, although I guess he can't keep playing the same venues. I'll make the journey to Blackpool if funds allow nearer the time!
He must have an idea of the new album if they ahve set dates; even if it a warm-up before the album. Did Jarvis say something about recoring the album this Februrary?

Yep, when i spoke to him after the manchester gig he said he hoped to record the album in jan/feb and have it released by march/april - but you can automatically add a couple of months on...you know what he's like.
Hmm, my previous ''prudent'' estimate of the first week of May looks to have been a tad optimistic. Should have known!
A studio update from him would have been/be nice. I wonder if the album has been mixed and mastered yet. Rough Trade should have sorted out a website for him - how often is that myspace page updated, twice a year?
The fact that they've announced a brief tour would suggest that a tracklisting, release date and artwork should be released in the next couple of weeks.
It's a bit of a short tour when you take into account it's to promo the new album. I wonder if there are more dates to come or if some festival appearences may be on the cards. Glasto would suit me just fine!
A new date in Paris on the 4th of june. Already available : http://plateforme.fnacspectacles.com/place-spectacle/manifestation/Pop-rock-JARVIS-COCKER-BAJAR.htm
Well, I've got my Troxy tix, so panic over. I think festivals (in the UK) are unlikely for Jarvis in a solo capacity, but I'm feeling it less and less unlikely for Pulp to reform in the near(ish) future. By that I mean before 2020.
Damnit, I should have planned a vacation around Glastonbury instead of going to Japan. I know it is sold out, but apparently more tickets go on sale in April. How hard will those be to get?
I am seriously considering hitting the Brighton Dome and Troxy gigs, Glastonbury if I can get a ticket, and one of the Blur reunion shows.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
What's the best way to get from Brighton Dome to Troxy? In my itinerary so far, I will be flying into Dublin, and then flying to Gatwick from Dublin, because it's cheaper than flying straight into London, then catching a reasonably priced train I found from Gatwick to Brighton.
Any chance he'll come out and chat with fans after the show?
Okay, I'm going to the Brighton and Troxy gigs, yes. I hope tickets don't sell out soon since I won't have the funds ready until next week.
Okay, question. Ticketmaster charges a ridiculous amount to have tickets mailed to the US. Does gigsandtours.com mail tickets to the US? How long do they usually take to arrive?
For some shows, yes. For Troxy? Nope. This is the only option listed for me: FedEx ® USA and Europe (EU) £13.50 Guaranteed delivery with tracking facility by FedEx to addresses in the European Union (as well as Switzerland) and addresses in the USA. Signature required. You will receive your tickets no later than 7 days before the event. Not available to PO Box addresses.
Jarvis Cocker is to headline this year's http://www.secretgardenparty.com festival, it has been announced.
The former Pulp star, readying his new album 'Further Complications', will play the boutique festival in East Anglia, which returns this year on July 23-26 with the mystical theme of 'Eden and Babylon'.
The line-up for Secret Garden Party so far is
Jarvis Cocker Emiliana Torrini Toots And The Maytails Sonny J Phoenix EMF Eddy Temple Morris Emmy The Great Fight Like Apes Caribou Bester Dury Golden Silvers Official Secrets Act Slow Club Team Waterpolo Dogs Chew Lips We Have Band The XX Chew Lips Officer Kicks The Bicycle Thieves DJ Food Caspa Cocosuma
So does anyone know of a better option than ticketmaster for the Troxy gig? Thankfully Brighton tickets are available for pickup the day of the show if you order through the venue's official site.
It looks like i'm going to have to miss this tour due to money woes (sorry Jarvis if you're reading!)
That is of course unless I stoop low enough to geta job in Mcdonalds in the coming weeks...hmmm
Anyhow..has the Glasto appearance been confirmed does anyone know? Emily Eavis mentioned that the Pyramid Stage was to host acts from every single year the festival has been running, and therefore some bigger acts playing the smaller stages; so could Jarvis be playing on the Pyramid?

She was talking about the festival in 2010 as it will be glastonbury's 40th year. I hope Jarvis does turn up this year though. It would be the icing on the cake!
Not a UK date but it looks like Jarvis is playing at the Berlin Festival in August. http://www.berlinfestival.com
I've bought tickets for Blackpool and the Lennon imagine appeal concert in Manchester, but I quite fancy seeing Jarvis abroad this year. Just can't make my mind up which gigs. Does anyone know if the Brussels and Amsterdam gigs are just Jarvis, as I've heard a rumour they may be a mixed Rough Trade line up?
Oh and in answer to James question my tickets for Blackpool arrived a week after I bought them, but I haven't had the Manchester ones through yet.
