That was pretty damn good! How did you record that so clearly? The vocals sounded very well layered. I'm looking into home recording myself so some pointers would be nice.
Yep me too. I used to do loads of home recording a few years back but all my equipment either got lost, broken or stolen (possibly due to me living with mainly idiots when i was younger!) When I've looked into it technology has kinda overtaken me and I'm back to square one with it all.
It's literally just a quick demo on my bed!! (I say quick, a coupla hours on & off, which is quite a while compared to my usual slapdash efforts!)
I used my Fostex MR8 & my (very old, hand-me-down) Shure SM58. & some old Sony headphones.*
The vocals, since you ask, are just 2 tracks mixed in stereo with 'hall' reverb & the MR8's on-board mastering. Very easy to use, the effects are one-button affairs, & the stereo panning, volumes & effects levels are good old knobs & sliders.
I'm happy to answer any other questions...?
*Ideally I'd've used my (also Fostex) studio monitors, but I don't have space to set them up, hence recording on the bed!
