Here's a rather obscure piece of early Pulp press, from a magazine called Cut (sort of like an '80s equivalent of Sandman, I think) circa 1987/88:

That's odd, I always quite liked Nights Of Suburbia.

I think that's prior to '87 Mark, possibly '85/'86 at a guess.
Pulp used to get regular slatings in the press in the 80's.

The track was recorded in '85 (at the Dolebusters festival at the Octagon Centre), but the tape wasn't released till late '87.

Oh yeah...quite a while ago now, when I was here asking if it was live or a demo.
& to think I spent 45 minutes scouring the old Pulp People scrapbooks at 5am...!

I remember going to that gig. There was a lot of Rusian dancing going on in the front row when they played 'Mark Of The Devil'. Good gig.

I wouldn't hold out much hope, I've probably been looking for it now for at least 10 years!

What I know is that up till the 90s, there was a copy of the video (simply entitled Dolebusters 85 I think, with sets from several of the bands that played that day) in Sheffield Library. However, by the time I went looking for it in '97 or so it had vanished without trace. They did (and possibly still do) have the Dolebusters 86 video, featuring sets from the likes of The Masons, The Bland and Dobree Firkin & The Battered Furburger Band... but no Pulp. Gah!

Somebody has it somewhere, but I've no idea who. I did manage to check with Nick Reynolds, who organised the Dolebusters festivals... and he didn't know either.
