Hi folks.. I was just wondering if any old school Pulp fans from Bar Italia days of yore would like to meet up in Sheffield?    I have to leave the UK soon but sadly cannot afford to visit some of you individually.. 

I was thinking just a weekend thing, preferably at the end of June/early July.  Please reply if you're interested in going!  Train fares shouldn't be too bad if booked in advance..  

I don't mean to exclude the newer members -- I'm sure we could meet up with you lot too.  I just miss the old gang..

And Steve, Scotty, Ian, Edd, Sturdy, Rachel, anyone else I've forotten is more than welcome to visit me in Scotland ;)

Quennie - How about a Pulp nite? I do a DJ set in Newcastle and I'm gagging to do a Pulp themed nite! Get a nice room above a pub in Sheffield and we could come down and play some Pulpy songs for ya!

If we could get the musicians to come along who are doing the Pulp tribute album thing too, we could have a bit of a open mic thing going on too.

I could do that mid July (like in 2 weeks). Hope ya not rushing out of the uk before then! x

Sorry - I hadn't noticed this thread. I'd certainly be up for that! I'm only a couple of hours drive from Sheffield; how long are you there for?

I would still love to go to Sheffield but I suppose it would be difficult if the flooding damage hasn't been cleared yet? 

The only trouble is finding accomodation in Sheffield -- online searches haven't been too forthcoming. I'd love to see Ian and Scotty - and we should drag Steve and Edd from Wales out too!  And Mark, though I don't know where he's living.

I was thinking about the week of the 16th sometime?   Ian - email me via my msn with your mobile and I'll text you.

just on the flood damage:
I live in Sheffield and all trains/roads etc are working fine now.
You shouldn't have too much trouble getting about and finding meeting places etc, it is only a few areas of Sheffield that are still badly affected. Even Meadowhall is re-opened now :)
