I had to sell my tickets to the Roundhouse to my sisters and her mates because I couldn't afford ot get there. I really wish Jarv would anounce a few dates further North!
It's the Astoria rather than the Hammersmith Apollo.
Lostprophets, with support from Enter Shikari, are set to play London's Astoria on February 15, with Jarvis Cocker playing the same venue on on February 17. ...
Bascially, the NME tour is visiting several places in London over a month or 2, with 1 gig a night. Each night has a different headline act and Jarvi is headlining one of them.
In other words it's a proper Jarvis gig but NME just get to put their name on it!
I hope this means a UK and Ireland tour has been pencilled in for Feb. On jarvspace before Xmas some girl posted that she had nabbed a tour itinerary for Jan/Feb from the stage floor after the Roundhouse gig, thinking it was the set-list. She never said what was on it though.
It says in the papers that you can't buy tickets until Feb 1st, yet they seem to be selling from that link. Hmm...
£20+ is quite steep especially when you have to add accomodation on to it & train fares. But you never know, I might be lucky! Hopefully he'll do a show in Edinburgh, 'cos then I could stay with my Mum!

Bought mine today NB: It's a 18.00 start due to the club night which begins @ 22.00.
The Idiot wrote: You could always bring your mum, I'm sure Jarv would approve of that.
I brought my mum to the london concert at roundhouse. she was with me in the second row and loved it. I gave her a ticket for the hamburg concert as well. she is kind of a fan now... soon she will post here. ;)
What a gig last night....highlights being "Fat Children" with it's amazing strobe lighting, "Tonight" and "Black Magic". Bass was very loud and hit you in the stomach!!! Jarvis was witty as ever and the bit where he took a girl's note of love for him and read it out was fooking funny....esp the end, where she had written sign here !!! He took it and signed it a few songs later after she kept reminding him!!! classic.
Was a great gig. My one criticism would be it was aside from the covers exactly the same set as the koko one. Would have been nice to at least jumble the order slightly. Still, it's worth the price of admission for the between sng banter alone.
