You may like or may be disgusted by my own music, but I'm trying very hard to get Jarvis to produce our band's second album (we are recording the first at the moment)... check out the myspace page, which also has a link to a website with arty stuff and more music.

If anyone actually knows Jarvis a gentle knudge in this direction would be most welcome - as I doubt that he actually visits his myspace page...

No shame in that! Checked you out, 'tis good!

I see you found me (-:

I think we should encourage shareing our own music 'round here, 'cos we OBVIOUSLY have a taste crossover, being that we are all on a Pulp forum.

To that endevour...

has 4 of my songs up. As I have mentioned before, on the old board.

Who else has their own music? This could become very interesting!

Very well,

MySpace

I've thought of asking Mr. Cocker to produce, but I figure he's pretty busy between a new album, touring (maybe) and a family. Now I've got my sights on Chris Thomas (as if).

I'll get 'round to listening to your stuff later, I promise.

Jock, you are crazy! I love it; hardly anyone else is doing anything like this these days. Looks like I'm the first one to hear "Ebay"! Doesn't even need drums, but I can't hear it in your head. "Mr. Normal" is very impressive. Astounding, even. Very good, I'll have to hear the others on your website later. I added you as a "friend", so I'm "like a friend" now. I try to insert Pulp song titles wherever I can in life.

James, wow, yours is quite excellent, too! I'm floored, man. I hope you like my music half as much as I like yours. I added you, too. Imagine if we all made one band...heh, we'd all want to be the singer and songwriter.

Thanks josta59! Yours is great, I can sense a bit of a Freaks tinge to some of it (-:

Ace.

& Andy, like your Well Hello Girl. There's so much music out there!

Acets, yeah, excellent! This is exciting.

Thanks, James, yeah, I've spent a lot of time with Pulp's eighties material lately. I don't think any of those four songs were directly influenced by Freaks, but "Miserable In Love" was heavily inspired by Separations, particularly "My Legendary Girlfriend". I don't know if I should be admitting these things, but hey, we're all Pulp-loving musicians here. Let's see, "Way to Go", which is a pretty new song, was most influenced by Orange Juice's "Poor Old Soul". "A Promise Tonight" just came to me but definitely owes a lot to songs like "Happy Endings", in particular. "Outpour" was largely inspired by the chorus to "Party Hard".

Yeesh, I feel so dirty now. Well, we're all inspired by something, right? If I can ever write songs like JC's...wow, that's the dream.

Let the fest of mutual love continue! Would be a good to make a song with everyone contributing a part - not to layer on top or anything, just to "cut n paste" together - I shall start by offering a string arrangement and some distorted riffing, which can be looped as much as, or as little, as anyone sees fit - I'd love to piss around with someone elses stuff, so BRING IT ON - you fuckers!

go to www.myspace.com/jockledoodledoo and download the track "Project 01" go for it fuckers!

I shall expect someone else to put something up there for manipulation soon.

Here are my band's current recordings:

Though we've since ditched all of them completely in favour of an entirely new set with more of a synthpop/glam feel.

Jock, that's nice, but it's so long already. You just want us to add onto the end of it? What are you going for, a Gershwin-length pop rhapsody? You already have an ABA structure; I could see someone adding a C section (heh), but then I think you'd want to wrap it up. Otherwise you're going to have a real mess (maybe that's what you want).

Idiot, listening now... Which one are you?

I'm Shallow: that's me singing on Sleepers, and the choruses of I Don't Know Why and Bees.

Haven't gotten around to listening to any of you guys yet, but I WILL... just had a gig last night so I'm a bit slow on it this morning.

I like the idea of having a long one - hur hur.

That prince album "Lovesexy" is really annoying/interesting in the way that it has only 1 track - you are forced to listen!

Think less of a "song" more of just pissing around really - its up to YOU what you do with it, only use one note, or a tiny snippet - we can compare notes later!

Oh, I see, so it's alright if we just use part of your track?
