Just seen a youtube of Jarvis in 97 discussing Help The Aged, and was trying to remember what exactly happened on TFI in 98, as I can't find it. I think they played Partyhard after.

Anyone?

Yes, they just played Party Hard. No interview. Good version though.

Oh, so is all Evans' talk merely refering to the whole 'Jarvis threw himself out of the window' incident? I thought I'd missed something. Funny Jarvis said how the 'other way' is much more dangerous - he'd know! So Evans was just being a prat, I guess? Jarvis' reasons seemed perfectly valid to me.

If I remember rightly, they edited the lyrics. "He just shed his load on your best party frock" became "Try to make friends with everyone on the planet" (i.e. they used the respective lyric from the first verse in place of the second).

i've always wondered about chris evans and pulp on tfi, i remember once i saw tfi back in the day, and i'm sure chris was saying something sarcastic about pulp being "a wonderful happy bunch" and "they are welcome back any time" i can't remember properly what he said, but i've always wanted to know what that was about.

There was some sort of behind-the-scenes falling out at the '98 appearance. They wanted Pulp to pretend to play Disco 2000 for the audience through the break (ie just play the intro at the start of the break and the end at the end), and they refused, hence Evans' stroppy comments.
