Apparently the promo of Jarvis' solo debut effort was premiered and replayed at regular intervals in between bands on the big screens at the festival, prompting mass singalongs.
Island wouldn't have thought of such ingenius publicity I tells ya!
They're obviously putting some effort into promoting it. I didn't think they'd bother with a promo video seeing as it's only been released on the web. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see the video soon.
Also, I noticed that there's an advert for the song in Saturday's Guardian. So, they're certainly trying to create some interest, despite the lack of radio play.
Yep, there was a similar sort of thing at Leeds. Wouldn't call it a video as such, just the song playing with the lyrics being broadcast on the screen karaoke-style.
Wonder who's behind all this, paying for the press adverts and time on the big screens and stuff? Rough Trade?
Not much to this. Looks like it was probably recorded off a camera phone, but if you want some idea about what went down at Reading, check out the link.
