I found this bit of news on Planet Sound, a music mag on Teletext C4 (pg 340).

Released in October, it will contain all tracks from the Peel Sessions from 1981 - 2001.

Sounds good news!

Edd

Fantastic! Bloody hell we're being spoilt - re-issues, old demos of songs we thought were buried forever or never knew existed, Jarvis' impending solo debut and now this!

If your tv and pc are in the same room you couldn't transcribe the article could you Edd?

I was hoping to transcribe it first thing this morning but the news had been updated. i only noticed it last night at around midnight.

It was only a small article. Nothing of what was contained hasnt been said.

Still, great news eh? Cant imagine Jarvis being happy with the 81 session being on the same cd as the 94 and 01 sessions. John Peel would be pleased its coming out though.

I do think though that 'sunrise' and 'i love life' on the 01 session are slightly superior than the album versions.

If pulp were to get back, now would be the best time than any. Theres been more press and interest about them in the first time in seven or so years.

I do think another dvd will be released by next year though.

Blimey. Would it be too greedy to ask for another CD of the other BBC sessions (Hit The North x 2, Mark Goodier and Mark Radcliffe)? Or a box set of all the French stuff (Festival Les Inrockuptibles x 2, Black Session x 3, Le Top 50, Top Live x 2, Route du Rock '01)? Or....

Fantasy releases aside, seriously, Glasto '95 on DVD can't be too far away can it?

Can you get Glastonbury 95 on video at all.Even bootleg? I've only seen the odd song on TV which is normally of course 'Common People'.

I've got about half of it on a DVD I got off Ebay a while back - Monday Morning, Underwear, Sorted For E’s & Wizz, Disco 2000, Joyriders, Pink Glove, Common People. I think that's all that was broadcast on Channel 4 at the time.

Watched it a few weeks ago, first time in ages, and was stunned at how good it is. I'm a jaded old bugger when it comes to Pulp these days, but that one concert still has the power to blow me away. It's just something else, really.

I really hope the French radio stuff gets the deluxe edition anniversary release in 2011!

I love the Peel Sessions CD, especially the songs that aren't on the other albums, especially Theme from Peter Gunn & Turkey Mambo Mama.biggrin The other songs are awesome too but these are newer to me.
