Black Magic - one of my Favourite Jarvis songs - is the song accompanying the new TV and for 'IT: Welcome to Derry'.

To mitigate the risk of this being one of those threads with an interesting fact but no further discussion.... what other Jarvis / Pulp songs have featured in commercials?

Have you got a link? Is it definitely Jarvis or could it be Crimson and Clover that it reworks?

I was in the pub, it was on Sky Sports. It sounded very much like the Jarvis version, and have just listened to the C&C version and am 80% certain it's the JC version (after four Guinness, that one might describe as... Black Magic).

I can't find it now anywhere now, so we may need to wait for someone else to catch and record it to confirm.

I heard the ad as Jarvis too, but yes, hadn't thought of Crimson & Clover. Will listen out for it again.

I was quite surprised that Disco 2000 turned up in an Easyjet commercial but I think I read somewhere that Jackson Banks pilots for them so there is that.

That's depressing. Didn't they sue Coke over the use of Sunrise and turn down a million pounds?

Not quite. According to this article, they turned down £100,000 and the music that was used was different enough to avoid action. I have just watched some 2001 Coca Cola adverts on YouTube and none of them had a soundtrack that was anything like "Sunrise".

That said, Super Furry Animals apparently turned down "A seven figure sum" from Coca Cola in 2003. I'm not sure how reliable these articles are.

Oh, there is always this (from 1:45 onwards):
