Deep geek question.

I was at Tramlines on Sunday and got chatting to an audience member. She was a big Pulp fan and mentioned seeing them in the early/mid 80s as her husband's band 'The Mirror Crack'd' had both supported them and been supported by them. Now, I knew that I knew the name, and presumed it was from the Wiki, but I can't find a reference to them for any gigs. Where do I know the name from?!

She mentioned seeing Pulp at the Limit, Hallamshire, etc.

Aside from the that, the really interesting bit was that she mentioned having seen one of their pantomimes and has a script with Jarvis' lines highlighted. Wicker Players' Dec '83? I can't think what else it would be!

Searching for The Mirror Crack'd on the wiki there is one listing:
10th September 1981 - George IV, Sheffield (supporting them)

For the pantomime, there was also "Cinderella and the Seven Dwarves" at The Leadmill on 31st December 1982. Under Heroes of the Beach on this page.

I've been trying to improve the search functionality on the wiki (still work in progress at the moment).

Ha, crossed posts with Will there. And blimey, here it is - hiding in plain sight on Facebook for the past 13 years:

A few others nice little Pulp snippets on that page if you search. Their singer understandably wasn't too thrilled about Jarvis' comments about them in Martin Lilleker's book!
