The final UK shows of this tour - so far, at least.

Expecting any new songs to enter the mix? Like Brixton back in 2011?

I'll be in London on Saturday - meeting up with my gf who's off doing a work experience thing right now - don't know if I'll have a chance to say hi to everyone, but if I don't, hope you all have a lovely time! Very envious of you all, of course...

Very envious of those going. I was an idiot not to buy tickets for both shows in retrospect. I saw Nick in the pub on Wednesday but it wasn't appropriate to talk to him but I really wanted to let him know how amazing the gigs have been.

The Lescar. He was there with a large group of people including Reverend & The Makers singer John McClure and local artist Pete McKee.
If anyone of you is unaware of Pete's work then you should definitely check him out.

I went to his gallery when I was in Sheffield in September. The curator let me film there, so there is a little section of me exploring the gallery.

I've visited it once but still haven't done food and iconic-photo replication there.

Enjoy, those that are going tonight/tomorrow. It's gonna be another blast!

Yeah, that was a touching moment. For a second, I was confused who he was.
They also had an extra musician playing keys on Hymn Of The North. The song sounded mega.

I doubt I had even arrived smile

. Got there at about 7:20pm.  My friend arrived 10 minutes later despite us both supposed to be there by 7pm.  A couple of quick beers and just about made it for Pulp coming on stage.

I am glad I went to Finsbury Park and Hammersmith. However unless there is a real curve ball, I expect the second night at Hammersmith to be the same as the first night as it was the same as Sheffield.  My credit card can do with a bit of a break, it has taken a bit of a hammering in recent days.  However, I half expect some more dates to be announced next week...

... Paris in early September or early October would suit me smile

About 3 songs in, I think that was unlikely.  I believe both  nights will be filmed so they will be the same with the best of each night making the cut.  Something Changed will have to re-recorded for sure.  The sound at the Eventim Apollo wasn't as good as it was at Finsbury Park.  Seems to be something about that venue as The Damned suffered from sound issues when I saw them there and the Ziggy premiere a few weeks ago wasn't as impressive as watching Moonage Daydream in Leicester Square.

However, overall it was another superb Pulp gig.

If anyone was going to change, setlist-wise, then I guess the question is - whither Dishes?

Why did they play Dishes for the first two gigs, then drop it completely from the setlist? It hasn't been heard since.

(My theory: it was a low-key bridge for the first two times they had to do the difficult Steve tribute, and it allowed the mood to settle a bit with the excitement of that first gig - and then it lost out to Mis-Shapes being moved up the setlist for a more energetic start to the set.)

From what I could see, the microphone in Nick's bass drum fell over. Also there was some weird hum just before DYRTFT? which kinda resulted in Jarvis' comically threatening to shoot a confetti cannon at Mark.

Also if they were filming tonight, I sure as hell didn't see any cameras.

Really informative review on the NME here of all the particular quirks to this show, I'd already forgotten some of them!

Jarvis quoting himself from those wonderful early PulpPeople streams of consciousness (It's 1992 and...) was a real thrill.
And him finally catching a grape in his gob, clearly another key triumph!

Cocker commented on how hed been to many shows at the Apollo including Kate Bush and Iggy & The Stooges  but had always longed to perform here.

Showing my age, but I have seen Boomtown Rats, Damned, Slade, Bowie (sadly just the movie a fortnight ago) and err Riverdance...

... for the record, I hated Riverdance, I blame my in laws who couldn't attend.   We tried to give away the tickets away outside, but no joy.  So we thought how bad can it be?

Sheah! Apparently. Her and Jarvis apparently went to acknowledge the early queuers and told folk stuff that they inferred was top secret shiz. This is according to a post on one of the Facebook fan groups.

Oh, and in case you're wondering which "obscure" Pulp song did Jarvis tease last night when he introduces Common People. "We've played everything...have I missed anything? Master Of The Universe? You wanna hear Master Of The Universe?"
Sadly, Mark didn't play the opening chords for it like he did in Italy in 2012!

He also during Common People said the song was about the girl from Greece at CSM, but was actually also about a second girl really, which I dont think Ive ever heard him admit before. Have loads of thoughts and feelings from the tour and what it meant to me but I will save boring you all!

In Glasgow, he said it was "the furthest north we've ever played" - and then talked about Shetland later in the same gig!

I'm really struggling to get this to download (either the video or the audio). Can anyone help? It would be nice to put it on my website for posterity as I did with the Sheffield show.

Very moving final thanks from Jarvis at the end. His namecheck includes Russell, Leo Abrahams, Antony Genn, Kim Sion, Steve's family and of course Steve. You can tell this is a labour of love. I'm so glad this band has been bathing in goodwill. Pulp are so very special, and I hope they can feel it sometimes.

Yes, I have tried multiple downloaders. It's saying "access denied" if I try to download the video and the audio downloads as an empty file.

So... was the second night at Hammersmith filmed? I was upstairs about 8 rows back and saw absolutely zero evidence of it. But the tickets did specify the show was being shot for some purpose.

100 percent it was filmed. The cameras were in the booth next to the audio booth.

Filmed to be locked away in the same archive as WLL demos/outtakes?

Am I growing cynical in old age?
