I'm going up to the Big Smoke now to an event in Mile end this evening. I'm a bit anxious as the only thing I know about it is from the song, but my friends assured me their student daughter lives there and it is gentrified now. So hopefully I will survive.

You should be fine

"Lived" around there in 2006/2007 as my now wife was studying abroad not too far. It was already OK.

Just be careful and dont follow strange men and you'll be fine :D

All very trendy so far. Nice almond croissant in hipster café. Not brave enough for shisha café.
