So who else is going?

I'm staying over at the Britannia which cost £35. It still shows availability (at £56) now if anyone is looking for somewhere to stay.

Doors open at 17:30 and it ends at 21:30 so I'm guessing Baxter Dury will be on at about 7 and Pulp at 8.

Me, I can't wait. I have Finsbury Park first but more excited for Castlefield as it's just a short tram journey for me, and so less stress.

My neighbours and a few other friends are joining for this one. Tapas is booked in Chorlton beforehand, and then we are getting the tram to town .

The Britannia is a great location. A bit rough around the edges but I've stayed there before for the odd night, and you can't complain for under £40! A buffet breakfast too so you can stuff yourself in the morning if you get that on top.

Pack a brolly as it looks like we'll get some classic Manc rain.

Really hoping for some radical set changes for Manchester. The extra dates were probably added later as they knew that many of us would cave in and simply go to more than one gig if it meant a smaller venue and / or close to home; this was certainly a factor for me. Therefore I'm hoping for something a bit fresher, with some tracks we haven't heard yet in the tour (plllleaassse).

I have stayed there before and I agree, for one night it is absolutely fine.

That's what swung it for me, I'm only about an hour away on the train. I'd settle for the Bridlington set again but it would be even better if they could throw in some other songs (The Fear and Party Hard would be fantastic).

Oddly, some sites say it's a 9:30pm finish:

But others say that Baxter is on stage at 7:45 then Pulp at 9:

Me! First time seeing Pulp in my home city, so personally a very special occasion. And I can sleep in my own bed for once.

Expecting a similar if not exact setlist to Finsbury Park but we'll see... and yeah, 9.30pm finish sounds way too early. I'd expect Pulp on at 8.40pm for a 10.30pm curfew.

I'm only 20 miles from Manchester so I'll be there, will be meeting up with Ian at some point. I've a gut feeling Pulp will be 90 minutes any longer will be a bonus.

I have heard this before. However, I am only carrying a small shoulder bag so checking in after the show is an option.

I'm in Manchester now grabbing something to eat before I check into the hotel if anyone is around?

I caught a glimpse of Castlefield Bowl from the train, it looked like they were setting the stage up. It looked a lot smaller than I imagined but I'm sure it will be different when I get there later

Just heading out, probably there around 3.45pm. If anyone has joined / is joining the queue early, I'm the big bloke with the beanie hat and beard. Say hey, don't be shy.

I am sat outside the castlefield hotel bar wearing a green striped shirt. I don't think I can see you but come and say hello if you can see me. If you're not there already, there are about 20 people queuing up

Last time I met Candida (film afterparty in 2013) I'd had a few drinks and told her "I bloody love you". Thankfully she was a delight and looked rather amused. I'm sober today but I'd probably still say the same.

Weather been holding up surprisingly well up to now but there are dark clouds on thr horizon...

Yes, and I hope it isn't raining as it's pouring down here in North London.

Yes, not a drop of rain all day! Never trust the Met Office...

Will drop in with some thoughts tomorrow but can confirm it was virtually the same setlist as Finsbury Park - we just missed out on Razzmatazz as the second encore.

Ach, same core setlist as before (no Razz, Dishes, After You, Glory Days, or anything new). Maybe a wee bit of wishful thinking.

No use in fucking with an established set if they've mastered it like they zseem to've! Very excited for Glasgow now, can't wait to see this full show in the flesh.

Amazing gig - absolutely awesome show, Jarvis and the gang on top form.....just why are they sticking to the same set? The previous reunion was so varied compared to this. Great to meet up with Ian after 20 years !
