Hey so my usual gig buddy is out of the country on holiday, so it would be cool for me if we were gonna do a meet-up like the Brixton one, anyone up for it?
Id love to meet some Pulp fans. Its lonely in America. I was thinking of getting to the venue at 6-ish to catch wet leg. Ive never been to th venue but I suppose its got some spot??
I expect to be there from 4:30ish. Have zero interest in support acts but tickets cost too much to be stood a half kilometer from the stage, so I will be gauging the gathering crowd and will try to make my way to the front when the time seems most convenient.
I'm interested in a meet-up too! I don't know what to expect when I go into the area, so I guess I'll check this thead later in case you guys decide some meeting spot. :)
I'll be wearing mostly black with a red velvet top. Also there can't be many people with "Live On!" tattooed on their right wrist so chances are it's me.
Front right crowd-controlled zone is currently the place to be. Quite a lot of open space owing to being healthy walk from the entrance.
I'm there and wearing a wholly unremarkable grey t-shirt and brown man-purse. But the chap behind me is dressed for maximum attention - look for a partially undressed person in a red sequined star trek shoulder vest. Find them and you'll find me not far off.
My mobile connection died sometime around Wet Leg taking the stage.
That was an excellent performance, probably the best performance I have seen. Overwhelmingly Different Class though.
Unfortunately, the ending with just one encore song (Razz) was very abrupt and disappointing but obviously down to Parkie. Thr band definitely wanted to play more.
Being up front I didn't fully realise how many people were there. Massive crowd. The corralling of everyone through a series of narrow bottlenecks to the one exit was rather unpleasant and capped the lovely evening with excessive amounts of aggro.

Of course, I didn't realise there was a divide down the middle and ended up on the left. Not so bad for space as I went all the way to the barrier.
I couldn't even find my friend who seemed to be constantly moving ahead of me. Still no matter, it was a superb gig.
Agree with post gig detour. It was far enough to walk to Highbury & Islington without the walk half way to Manor House. Not as if they are not used to crowds around there. As bad as Victoria Park for sending me out the wrong way.
I was down the front as well, on the left hand side, near the barrier just where the curve was. Somehow managed to stay there all evening.
What an amazing concert, definitely better than the last time I saw Pulp at Finsbury Park. The Weather was mercifully overcast for the most part, so I didn't feel like I was being boiled alive.
Couple of things marred the event. There was a couple of lads during Wet Leg, who were bouncing around and smacking into people. One of them proceeded to urinate in a cup and then threw it on the ground not far from me. Also during Babies, some chump starting pushing from behind, so I nearly collided with a woman in front of me, and nearly got in trouble with the bouncers.
I have work tomorrow afternoon, so I need to sleep. However I'm worried that sunlamp they use in the climax of Sunrise has been permanently burn onto my retina.

Did you get a we-
There was a couple of people between me and the offenders, but I'm still thankful that I chose to wear jeans and DMs instead of a maxi dress and open toes sandals.

We're not great at organising, are we?! I was with London pals so didn't look in on this but it would be good if we can get our act together for Sheff.
Lol yeah. Would have been cool if we could have found each other. My internet was so slow there even tho I had 4G I gave up looking after a while.
Great show tho!
I really wanted to get some merch but the line was horrific!
Yes, Sheff...I'm supposedly at both gigs, just need to find someone to go with me. My old guitarist is interested so hopefully he can make it...a bit too much of a journey on my own! (My mum was going to come but sadly she passed in March)
