A bit of fun, I saw this on Twitter!

Uni of Edinburgh RailSoc on Twitter: "Jarvis Cocker as UK trains from the 2000s: a Midland Mainline (Class 43 'InterCity 125' high speed train) https://t.co/j4mCKVCx7o" / Twitter

I wonder if our Jarv held slightly more stylistic influence than he let on?

Oh yeah, the train ticket thread. That was marvellous.

Love that this Jarvis & trains genre is growing in volume! Maybe we'll see Mark as ferries next...

Not a ferry but this London Tour bus kinda reminds me of Mark circa 1998:

Funny how a topic about trains got so easily derailed.

 Nice.

I remembered that Jarvis train ad from years ago, and found the 'making of' on youtube: after all these years finally answering the question 'who is the other guy?' (Arno, late Belgian singer).

IIRC wasn't Jarvis some sort of ambassador for Eurostar at the time?

Yeah, he got some stick for "selling out".

- Mate, I spent the 80s doing everything but sell out. Just redressing the balance innit.

Men are over. Women are over. Irony is over.

Buh-bye.
