Has anyone got any good pulp band photos from early 1984? Or maybe even a big archive of photos from, say, 1980 to 2001? Been trying to reorganize/expand the pulp portfolio archive, something that I set out to do a long time ago but never got around to actually doing it. I've seen a lot of good photos that I could've used but they are all really small and I can't seem to find the originals anywhere if they even do exist. Here are some that I'm specifically looking for.

Man, that thread title... a bit War and Peace, innit?!

I think Sturdy used to keep a Pulp Flickr account, there might be rare/hi-res images there.

I would be interested too.

The images I have found mostly seem to stem from the Acrylic Afternoons website - excellent website - and they are very small of course. They are all over Pinterest and google images.

1980s (or even 1990s) Pulp photos are tricky to source. The publications that used the photos are out of print and even if they moved online, they have not taken all the photos, alas. The photographers themselves tend to use 'other more famous' bands on their portfolios. Places like Getty have a few photos.

Then there are all the broken links & dead ends as old websites have died. This forum has had lots of links to interesting articles & photos that are defunct and the person sharing has disappeared - as is the way of this sort of thing.

The hope is that people have the original publications and are willing to scan them into the internet. OR if their old photobucket (or other host site) links have broken, to refresh them or fix them, or if the hosting site is gone, to upload to a new site... maybe. There are at least TWO people interested...

None of this addresses any copyright issues (shhh!) or indeed if people actually want to share their photos at all - knowing they will be copied and shared elsewhere.

[My little Russell focused tumblr has the best res photos I can find (to date) and I try to credit the source - and if the owner of any images objected I would remove, of course.]

TL;DR: I'd like access to photos too - broken links & small res photos are a bummer.

Have you tried asking Nick on Twitter? or Mark's cousin Darren? (he posts a bit on Nick's timeline and recently shared some Hardcore era photos and some scans of a copy of "Cosmic Pig" that he found up in his loft). Also when I researching for EHAT, I found some photos from the mid-80's Chesterfield concerts on the Facebook pages of both David Hayes and Androo Wobble (Andrew Webb) formerly of The Bland, so maybe check those out.

Yea I would ask nick, but he was only around in the late 80s. And also I think that mid 80s chesterfield concert is on youtube.

Oh yes, I did see your tumbler page and I did find the origin of the Magnus Doyle photo but I assume that the one you have still isn't the full original photo.

The portrait of Magnus on pulp wiki was very clear so I assume that the full original photo must've been a lot bigger.
