There are two BST Hyde Park dates left on Friday 30 June and Saturday 1 July, so I suspect that will be one of the dates. I hope not, as I dont fancy paying £200 to be anywhere near the stage. But I know I will (sigh).
All Points East and Lytham Festival are what the festival-heads are predicting. Covers both North and South large-scale events. I'm not sure they would draw enough of a crowd for their own outdoor show (ie not tagged onto BST Hyde Park).
Hopefully a few Leadmill warm-ups (tickets via a lottery?), some Hardcore album shows at the Barbican (a nod to their Halloween appearance there 25 years ago when TIH was debuted), then NY and Mexico/South America for the Latam massive. Pension fund promptly topped-up and we never see them again. Let's make the most of it!

Thats their pension fund, mine could be gone! Might have to go back to work. 27 days so far
Hardcore at Barbican sounds great, and I have some credits after my wheeling and dealing with The Divine Comedy series chopping and changing seats. Royal Albert Hall would be good for me as well with a £90 credit I need to use in next 60 days or so.
All Points East would be nice (and a long walk home). I enjoyed Jarv Is and Interpol last time around, I did feel the main stage with The Strokes was not that good. But then again Field Day a couple of years earlier was. Bit hit and miss.
A word from Jarvis Cocker: Three months ago, we
asked, 'What exactly do you do for an encore?' Well
an encore happens when the crowd makes enough
noise to bring the band back to the stage. So we are
playing in the UK and Ireland in 2023. Therefore
come along & make some noise. See you there.
Let's all meet up at...
26 May Bridlington Spa
28 May Warrington Neighbourhood Weekender
9 June Dublin St Annes Park
1 July London Finsbury Park
7 July Glasgow TRNSMT Festival
9 July Scarborough Open Air Theatre
12 July Cardiff International Arena
14 July Sheffield Utilita Arena
15 July Sheffield Utilita Arena
21 July Suffolk Latitude Festival
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, 4 November at 9am
(GMT), and will be available from: https://sjm.lnk.
to/Pulp
Must admit I was hoping for a little surprise/twist with the announcement (Hardcore album shows/ a Best Of album with a new song or two etc.) but I live a 20 minute walk away from Finsbury Park so cant really complain! And with two Sheffield arena dates, will probably not have to scramble too much for tickets there.
I hope some of the French and North/South American fans get a visit from Pulp too. Jarvis says on his Insta that these are the dates "so far" so there is still hope. Glastonbury will be almost certainly added too.

Freaking the fuck out rn in the US. Younger pulp fan here with a mom whos been into them since the 90s, were thinking about doing Finsbury park and a trip to the UK as a graduation gift for me

I'm honestly tempted to come to the UK for this. It's been on my list of holiday destinations for years now. Really hoping they'll announce some Australian shows, as much of a long shot as it is.

No doubts they will tour Europe. France especially. I for one probably wont go to their big gigs. I cant enjoy those anymore, so hoping for indoors with smaller venues. I dont mind travelling for Pulp :D
Was hoping for new material too, but obviously we never getting that right. That doesnt make any money

Still no confirmation of line-up then. I have it on good authority that Candida is in, obviously Nick too, but no idea about the rest.
Surely Steve and Leo will be? Obviously I would't wish Russell on any of them. Great news about Candida, was worried that her arthritis (?) would stop her taking part.

No Steve Mackey according to Guardian. And no Russell. Jarvis, Candida, Nick & Mark.
2012 tickets were...almost half that? Obviously there's been five year's worth of inflation in the past year alone but, man...that's still steep in the middle of an energy crisis and probable recession. High confidence to think they'll sell-out back to back shows there.
Currently showing no online booking. Maybe that just means 'no online booking yet', as with the rest of the dates, but I wonder if you'll have to buy in person. I'm happy with Scarborough outdoor (Eden Project 2000ish was a much nicer than arena gigs), but would prefer Brid as 1st choice.

Hmm yes, interesting. You can also book over the phone for that venue too. Wonder what will happen.

Will do what I did in 2012, namely leave it until late in the day and see if I can get a bargain ticket. Worked for The Damned. They wanted around £75 for a ticket for tomorrows show in Hammersmith, but I got a pair for less than £25 earlier this week. Happening at a lots of shows.
For the record Wireless was about £55 with fees last time out. And similar for Royal Albert Hall.
You have booked to attend TEENAGE CANCER TRUST - PULP at Royal AlbertHall, London on SATURDAY 31/03/2012 at 19.00
You have ordered the following tickets 2 STALLS SEATS at £55.00 Block M Row 6 From 110 To 111
Total cost also includes a transaction fee of £2.25 You have been charged a total of £112.25
Bridlington is my prefered date & venue. I'm fully aware there will be more dates too, so for the sake of my old bones & my aching finances, I don't want to book too hard & fast.
Sheffield, Scarborough & Finsbury Park are tempting but I can wait & see for those.
Slightly miffed that we could be looking at Steve being absent. What the fuck has gone wrong there?

Says over 14's only. Seems a bit harsh. Some of the best gigs of your life are those teenage ones. Mind you as a middle aged bloke it's a very horrible creepy feeling when some teenager pushes up against you at a gig, but I guess I'd feel as creeped out now by a 20 year old as a 14 year old. But it's my problem, not theirs.
As for costing £100 I guess I don't care. I missed 2012 entirely, came at a bad time for me, so I'm not missing this (presumably) last chance. And thinking back when I last saw Pulp 20 years ago it probably cost a days wages back then. Mind you, paying £18 tonight for a whole orchestra (Glass/Bowie at Sage), which is a bargain. £340 for Glasto seemed a shocking amount to me, not that I would ever go to a festival again.

It should be over 40s
Must admit, that after having over £1000 held by various box offices as a result of COVID, and still with about £90 credit held by Albert Hall, I am less willing to pay £100 for a gig too far in advance. Did pay just over £100 for a couple of Arctic Monkeys tickets next summer, but that aside, pretty much everything else booked is only until mid December. And costing me less than £20 to see Damned tomorrow evening, which is a bargain compared to the £75+ they asked when the gigs were initially announced pre second COVID wave.

It will sell. who thought one day tickets for shows like that would cost close to 100. It wont stop here, in a few years it will be 150 then 200 and so on. Cant stop the train
A bit sad Steve isn't here.
While the last reunion felt fresh, this one doesn't. Nothing new to offer bar a best of gig. meh.
I know every other band does it and i understand the financial benefit, but it would be cool to have something new alongside. Maybe for people who wont go the gigs.

Yes, dates will sell well even up to £100. BST is £100 for general admission (£200 for gold circle) and the Springsteen nights have already sold out. Pulp should be OK selling 8 dates (ignoring festivals).
It does seem like an encore with nothing new and maybe even a little diminished without Steve and Russell. Last time out, they were all there at the outset and although Russell didn't stay to the end, it was as good as it could get.
i wouldn't be surprised if there are some reissues associated with this tour. Different Class never got a 25 year reissue like His n Hers, and the tours coincides with 25 years since Hardcore. Probably too much to expect Intro reissue or a We Love Life delixe, but I live in hope.

Yeah maybe reissues, but everything they had as extras has been released in 2006 already i suppose. the only hope is a complete catalog re-release of Island records, with all the bonus tracks and demos that would include... WLL. Here's hoping. But that would have to be announced before christmas. If not the window will close i think

Is a very important part of my creative life... and I'm exceptionally proud of the body of work we've created together.
Jarvis and I remastered Pulp's entire Universal Records back catalogue together just over two years ago at Abbey Road Studios. It was a huge pleasure to do that and review our songs and recordings together.
There have been wide reports of a full reunion for UK concerts today. However I've decided to continue the work Im engaged in - music, filmmaking and photography projects, and will not be joining them for these UK shows just announced
Wishing Candy, Nick, Mark and Jarvis the very best with forthcoming performances and also an
enormous thanks to Pulps amazing fanbase, many of whom have sent me lovely messages today

Window for record pressing plants? I thought most of the recent issues were due to Adele having half a million records pressed last year that set everything back. Backlog must be over by now. Suspect they can have LPs and CDs ready for next summer. Or take the Bowie estate approach of releasing the CD now with an LP to follow sometime next year.
Was Party Clowns the last "new" release by Pulp? Amazing that so little has been released in last 20 years since Hits.

I suspect a lot of reissues are on their way. I guess the Universal back catalogue is everything post-Separations including Intro...
Well good news if everything has been remastered. Now includes those damn WLL demos with it :d
I hope so. Not that I really want the additional expense, but Universal haven't released anything apart from remastered vinyl LPs since the Deluxe editions back in 2006. And neither Intro nor Hits on vinyl.
Creeping out of the woodwork here to celebrate the good news! Ill probably be in Sheffield for at least one (if not both) dates if anyone wants to meet up in the year 2023?
Very happy to see the dates and I'm hoping they'll come to Australia. Considering they played a few dates in the previous reunion, I don't think it's an outlandish prediction.
It'd be a shame if they only played festivals (not that we have many) since Pulp are a band that seem better in a dark, intimate setting. Not keen on standing outside in the hot sun to watch them with people who probably don't know Pulp.
Playing the UK in mid-2023 means that an Oz tour would be later, in spring or summer. To do an outdoor show in September-February could be a death wish.
Anyway, wouldn't mind remasters... particularly a good quality pressing of Intro. Haven't got it on vinyl or CD.
Well I'm very lucky to be on a mega holiday, but will be in the air at 9am on Friday! Maybe some random location like Cardiff Arena won't sell out instantly. Or a pre-sale???

I doubt Finsbury Park will instantly sell out, and there are likely to be extra tickets released at some point. Worst (or best) case scenario is wait until nearer the time and look on Twickets where people who cannot make it will be selling. Thats how I got my suede ticket for Electric Ballroom, despite missing the initial sale.
Must be a pre-sale somewhere. Though been a while since I was on a Pulp mailing list.
