I saw in the 'What will Pulp play?' that a couple of people have suggested making a separate thread for dream setlists, songs you want to hear, etc, for the 2023 Pulp reunion (can't believe I'm typing those words - I'll probably wake up in a minute!)
It's so difficult to choose - I'm leaning towards something like this for my ideal setlist:
---
Do You Remember the First Time?
Pink Glove
Razzmatazz
Disco 2000
Sorted for E's and Wizz
I Spy
Babies
Underwear
This Is Hardcore
Sunrise
The Birds In Your Garden
After You
Common People
The Fear
I Want You
Help the Aged
Party Hard
O.U.
Love is Blind
Something Changed
---
(The ordering may need a little tweaking)

Swap-out I Want You for Bad Cover Version, add Misshapes at the end or the start and I think we've got a deal.
I wonder if the Pulp songs played live by Jarv Is... are more likely now (His'n'Hers, She's A Lady and My Legendary Girlfriend) to be performed by the group that wrote them. I don't think the latter two were played at all in 2011/12.
Call me a Debbie Downer but unless they do something really radical with them, I could quite happily go to my grave never hearing Babies, Sorted or Something Changed ever again. Good songs obviously, but man they've been done to death. I guess I saw them at too many near-identical festival/outdoor gigs from 2000-2002...
My ideal setlist would be one where they surprise me!

Yeah, agree on Something Changed. It was and maybe still is my favourite Pulp song but it's a ballad and can suck the energy out of a set. Best enjoyed when listening to the recorded version.
Could take or leave E's and Wizz (oh, err) but I don't think I'd ever tire of Babies.
Songs that I'd bin.....*get ready for some controversy *
Sorted For Ez and Wizz
Misshapes
Common People (gasp !)
THE SETLIST
Disco 2000 ( with the motiv 8 intro )
DYRTFT
Pink Glove
Pencil Skirt
Something Changed
Babies
Happy Endings
Razzmatazz
Minnie Timperley
Bad Cover Version
Underwear
This Is Hardcore
Sunrise
--------------------------------
Like A Friend
OU
Death Comes To Town
---------------------------------
Little Girl With Blue Eyes
Wickerman
Cuckoo
I've never liked This Is Hardcore the song very much (and it takes up too much of the set), and I think Sunrise is mildly overrated by fans, so i'd take those two out and put in Bad Cover Version, Birds In Your Garden and Sylvia.

Sylvia...lovely verses, stadium-rawk choruses and long guitar-schlock solo which sounds faintly ridiculous for Pulp on record but live would actually be great fun, I think.
Loads of songs I love but maybe mix it up s little from the last time they toured. So here goes:
1. The Fear
2. DYRTFT?
3. Sylvia
4. Pencil Skirt
5. OU (Gone Gone)
6. Razzmatazz
7. Bob Lind
8. Your The One
9. Street Operator
10. We Can Dance Again
11. Acrylic Afternoons
12. His N Hers
13. Your Sisters Clothes
14. Glory People
15. Like A Friend
16. Have You Seen Here Lately?
17. Disco 2000
18. The Day After the Revelution
I expect similar sets to last time, but if we're considering more TiH involvement I expect this:
1. The Fear 2. DYRTFT? 3. Pink Glove 4. Underwear 5. Party Hard 6. Something Changed 7. Sylvia 8. Sorted 9. Bad Cover Version 10. Joyriders 11. Babies 12. This is Hardcore 13. Sunrise 14. Glory Days/Common People ---------- Encore: 1. Disco 2000 2. After You 3. O.U. 4. Mis-Shapes
Encore 2: 1. Like a Friend (or maybe Sheffield Sex City??)

As for songs I'd want, I couldn't really fit it in a list, but I'd die to hear any of these:
Don't You Want Me Anymore
Happy Endings
O.U.
Sheffield Sex City
My Legendary Girlfriend
She's a Lady
There's a chance for the last two now that Jarvis seemed to like playing them on his own :)

The Fear
Deep Fried in Kelvin
Party Hard
After You
Weeds
Pink Glove
Underwear
FEELINGCALLEDLOVE
It's a Dirty World
My Legendary Girlfriend
Sylvia
I Spy *
This is Hardcore *
Wickerman *
Something Changed *
Bad Cover Version *
Sunrise
Encore 1:
Sheffield: Sex City
OU
Lipgloss
Glory Days / Common People
Encore 2:
His 'n' Hers
The Day After the Revolution
I agree on "Lipgloss", they played "Babies", "Do You Remember the First Time" and "Razzmatazz" over and over so why not "Lipgloss"? Sure, it wasn't a top 40 hit, but only just. It would have been recognised by anyone who bought the album.
"It's a Dirty World" would be an epic live song. That's the first thing I thought when I heard it. I think that it would have been played regularly during 1998 if it had made it onto the album.
I'm not sure how they could edit it without it losing impact. Perhaps if they trimmed the intro and outro a little bit then jumped straight from the "I wanna dance that's all" to "all around the world..." without the fade out in between. That would probably only lose around 30 seconds
Some great shouts in this thread - It's A Dirty World and Cuckoo Song would be fantastic!
Now, here's one that might divide the room somewhat - I would love them to chuck in a one-off performance of the infamous Crabs. With it being mentioned in Good Pop, Bad Pop and it being Pulp's 45th anniversary year, I think it'd be fun for them to throw it in (perhaps if they do a gig for the 'Save The Leadmill' campaign?) - a sort of 'please indulge us' moment akin to when they did Back in LA perhaps? Admittedly, it would be taking up valuable 'real estate' in the setlist, but I'd love to see it once - it'd be a hoot!
