I'm sure some of you have already seen this...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pulp-Original-1992-Demo-Cassette-and-Gig-Invite-Postcard/143671930024?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

but I was just wondering why Pulp would pick these slowies from Separations for a 1992 promotional tape considering the more commercial (if a little dated) tracks on the album? Also, I'm guessing these were just the album versions and not actual demos? Nice item though and it didn't go for the usual crazy price.

That's literally just side 1 of Separations isn't it? Maybe Suzanne Catty was in a hurry...

Haha- of course it is! Completely overlooked that fact. Should've stuck with side 2.

Ooh, interesting. Didn't see this auction.

Looks like it is an early/final mix of the album rather than demos as the Seperations recording session demos info on the Wiki doesn't include Love Is Blind and Don't You Want Me Anymore? In which case, the winner might feel aggrieved. Still a cool thing to own, I guess.

Yeah, if it's from 1992 it'll surely be the finished tracks. It'd been in the can for 2 years at that point.

Agree it's not the most representative set of songs to send out at that point. I guess if it was for someone who'd already heard the singles though, there wasn't much else to choose from.

I think i would be a bit brassed off to purchase a hissy tape of Separations - side 1, which i strongly suspect this is..and not some 'demos' as the description claims..
