It's also available on Ian's F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.L.I.V.E. site here: feelingcalledlive.co.uk/pulp/2002-06-23-pulp-live-at-thetford-forest-suffolk/

I finally had a chance to rummage through the FeelingCalledLive boots archive recently - one upside to the working from home due to Covid is that I can finally catch-up on albums and podcasts that I never seem to have time to.

The geek in me wanted to pick and choose Pulp songs rarely performed live or early live renditions of songs just to see how they sounded compared to the final studio versions. I presumed that, due to the large undertaking in uploading dozens (hundreds?) of live Pulp recordings, each concert would be one sound file and you'd have to download it and then skip through to the song you want to hear (or listen to the whole show, of course). To my pleasant surprise, I found that not only was each show split into individual songs but you could also stream them too! Fantastic!

So I had a wonderful few hours listening to things I hadn't heard in years - live versions of Seconds/David's Last Summer from the HnH tour Spring'94, only known live versions of The Babysitter/Bob Lind; and the piéce de resistance - the 1992 Black Session. Separations (the song) in particular sounded majestic.

I have most of this stuff but they're on badly-labelled CDRs in boxes in my old bedroom in another country so to have the whole known Pulp live/rarities catalogue available through a few clicks is amazing. Ian, I don't know how many hours it took to upload everything and if you're having to pay a hosting cost, but do let us know as you've done a really impressive job and we're all really thankful. You are the one/the boss/the professional !

Thank you Eamonn for the positive feedback. It didn't take too long to be honest but I had some help from a couple of forum regulars.

The hosting... it costs hardly anything to be honest because the files are all held in free storage accounts, I'm only paying for the domain name and using existing webspace. I haven't had any warnings from the storage providers re excessive downloads and given the fact that demand for Pulp material has been quite low for over 15 years, I don't think I ever will.

I do have plans for the future of site; there is demand for lossless material so where possible I am looking to this (there will be some appearing over the next few weeks) and if I can get my hands on a VHS player and conversion device I will upload all the Pulp video material I have. Unfortunately sending it off to be converted isn't really an option because I don't know what's what (I have about 20 unlabelled VHS tapes in my shed; some Pulp, some other bands, some Coronation Street from 1998 and so forth...)
