This is so rarely mentioned that I sometimes think I've imagined it, but I believe that Pulp remixed the entire concert for repeat broadcast on BBC Radio. It's definitely a remixed version of Common People that appears on the B-Side to Mis-Shapes, and later on the DC Deluxe Edition... it's notable for putting Russell's violin quite low in the mix. I'm pretty sure that when I taped Glasto 95 off the radio back in late 1995, it was this remix of the entire concert that was being broadcast - mainly because when I got my hands on the CD bootleg some years later, I was really surprised by the audience recording and the loud violins on every song!

Oh and I'm pretty confident that the version of Sorted that turned up on the Vox - Class of 95 cassette was taken from the remixed concert, too. Like Common People it sounds that bit more polished. (I've uploaded that track here: https://we.tl/t-msTI9RpGC6 until 20th April)

I've been trying to find my copy of that off-air repeat for years and years but have just about given up on finding it again. The BBC radio and TV repeats in recent years all seem to use the original mix, which just doesn't sound right to me! Does anyone have a copy of the remixed show in its entirety?

You are not imagining things - there are indeed 2 audio versions of Glastonbury 1995. The violin is unbelevably loud, which makes it great in songs like Acrylic Afternoons. Ive got it on my ipod, but for some reason - you cannot get into the hidden files on ipods anymore - does anyone know of any way of getting into the backbone of Apple ? If so - ill get it uploaded for all.

Oooh tantalisingly close!

From a quick Google it sounds like you can still get at iPod files with a combination of iTunes on the computer and enabling something called 'disk mode' on the iPod, though this seems to depend on the model (which of course leads to a minefield of different approaches!) Might be something useful here? itstillworks.com/enable-disk-mode-ipod-2788.html

Yeah I'll try that. I did look for this disk enable thing before but couldn't find it. I'll look at this document

There is a way, i remember years ago my ex girlfriend reversed her ipod, back onto her mac into itunes- i think its called reverse syncing, but you might have to have a mac to do it- be careful though as if you plug an iPod in sometimes it auto syncs with iTunes, which will wipe whatever you have on there.

Just found this and it sounds like it could work
